He wasn't insane. They had to know that. Why didn't they know that? They were his family; they should know. But for some reason, they didn't. They thought that red head impostor was him, that he'd actually stab Drake, and shoot the demon spawn.
Clearly, his family didn't know him at all, which was big disappointment after finally finding his way home after being lost in the multiverse for nearly a year. He had prospective he didn't have before; seeing your family members, whether they be from another Earth or not, die in front of you could do that to a man.
Jason hadn't killed anyone since that one Joker who laughed at the Bruce's death, the Bruce that had avenged him on that Earth. He knew now that killing Joker wouldn't. It hadn't helped after that Bruce died, and it hadn't helped that Bruce. It had driven him nearly insane, and Jason didn't want that for himself.
But, his family already thought he was there. He should have known something was up when his Red Robin costume was stolen on one of the last Earth's he was on, but it hadn't occurred to him that another him may try to usurp his life because that impostor was just that crazed.
Jason remembered that Earth. It had been an Earth where Batman was a crazy fuck and occasionally referred to himself as the goddamn Batman. It was no wonder the Jason of that Earth succumbed to insanity. Jason almost felt sorry for him, but he had his own life to reclaim, and he didn't have time to worry about the impostor when everyone was against him.
He'd fix this, and maybe prove himself to his family, finally, that Jason Todd was part of this family.
