“I can't believe you lost your ring.”
Kyle huffed at that as he pulled on the old quilt, so it would cover more of his chilled body. “I didn't lose it. It was stolen by-”
“Yeah, yeah,” Roy interrupted, pulling at the quilt. “An alien spy stole your ring and shoved you into the snow. That about right? Oh yeah, I think you forgot the part where I tried to help you up, and you pulled me into the snow bank!”
With a nervous chuckle, Kyle let Roy have more of the blanket even though it left his right side quite chilly. “I said I was sorry! I thought you were the alien, and I wanted my ring back!” he exclaimed, shivering a bit.
Roy sighed, being a good leader and wrapping his arm around Kyle to pull him closer, making the quilt cover them both completely. “All right, apology accepted, but watch who you're grabbing next time, okay?” he told him with a playful bump.
“I will,” Kyle murmured, his cheeks a little rosier than they were when he first came out of the snow bank.
“Hey, guys! I had the weirdest fight today! This alien tried to attack me with a Green Lantern ring, and it didn't work!” Grant announced as he jogged into the main room. “So I took the ring, and... Uh... Should I leave you two alone...?”
Kyle's eyes widened as he pulled away to walk over to Grant as Roy choked a little. “My ring!” Kyle announced, ignoring the look Grant was giving him as he snatched it back and slipping it back on. “Thanks for getting it back!”
“Uh, sure, no problem,” Grant muttered as a green construct of parka wrapped itself around Kyle. “What happened anyway...?”
“Kyle fell into a snow bank and pulled me into it,” Roy said at the same time Kyle said, “An alien spy stole my ring and shoved me into the snow.”
Grant looked terribly skeptical. “Okay,” he said slowly, “I'm just going to leave you two alone now.”
Grant beat a quick retreat that left Kyle confused Roy groaning as he pulled the quilt over his head. If he knew Grant, and at this point, with Grant living in the Tower, he was pretty sure he did, Roy knew Grant construed the huddling under the blanket for warmth as just cuddling under a blanket. Kyle just looked back at Roy.
“What's with him?” Kyle asked.
Roy buried himself under the blanket a bit more. “Just go train so you don't get your ring stolen again, okay? That's an order,” he muttered.
Kyle huffed at that, muttering as left the room leaving the Titans' leader to warm up all by himself.
