It was a very quiet patrol night. Quiet on patrols weren't exactly new to Cass. She was always quiet herself, and occasionally, Gotham could be rather silent. The problem was, it wasn't just her on this patrol. No, Batgirl was accompanied by Robin and Spoiler.
Now, sometimes it was still quiet when Robin was with her, but never with Spoiler, and especially not with Robin around. It was clear to Cass that Tim was angry with Steph, and Steph had finally given up trying to talk it out. Cass had heard something about talking to a brick wall, the other night from Steph.
Soon, the quiet was getting to Cass. That had never happened before, but then again, neither had Steph not talking or Tim not at least saying a few words to Steph. Cass had had enough as she stood up abruptly.
"Cass...?" Steph asked, breaking her silence for the first time that night as Tim said, "Batgirl?"
Cass stood in front of them, glaring her best Batglare through her cowl. "Kiss and make up," she stated, hearing the phrase on TV once, knowing it was appropriate for the situation. "Quiet doesn't suit you."
Tim and Steph shared a surprise look, still not saying a word which made Cass give them both a quick nerve pinch. "Talk. It. Out," she enunciated, mimicking something Oracle had been telling Nightwing about Batman.
With that, swirl of her cape, and a leap off the building, she left, hearing the beginnings of the conversation Tim and Steph so sorely needed to have.
