Today we went to see Hannibal Rising. It was pretty good. He was a very creepy Hannibal. And that is what its all about.
After that, Matt and Lisa left us the station wagon (we came in two cars) and Jake and I went shopping. He got new shoes, I got Saw 3, and Lisa's christmas present already (the cartoon version of the grinch who stole christmas on dvd)
We went to the pet store to check out the bettas. They were all so pretty and there was one I wanted but we were going to TGI's after and I didn't want to leave a fish in the ice-cold car so I didn't get anything. Plus, 2 days is a bit soon to be replacing my beloved companion, Sir Squishy. (I found him dead in his bowl on Thursday. Highly sad)
There was an adorable little pug in a caged off area with some customers, and it was chewing one of the people's shoe and it was SO CUTE!! I want it. I wonder if it would be easier to convince Matt to let us have a dog over a kitty. But not a good idea yet.... I just really want. Apparently I need something to look after and mother to not be so blangwrogvbg.
We also got cool bday cards coz its 3 peoples birthdays in the next week or 2. For Ellen I got a card for a 2nd birthday, with Elmo on it. Don't know yet if I'm gonna write 'the other 2 is missing!' or if permanent marker shall be the other 2 in 22. I'll know which once I do it, I guess.
TGIs was delicious, as always. Plus, they played John Lennon, and that's cool. We shared quesadillas for appetizer and then for entree (argh the nomenclature confuses me here) I had a 'tuscan chicken melt' which was just a toasted cheese samich with chicken cubes in it lol. Was so good. And the best part? Totally free. Go random gift cards from people I don't even know who they are!
And after the whole day? I drove home, and I wasn't certain about how to do parts of that, but I did it all and I was so proud of me. Coz you know, I rock. I did learn it is hard to change lanes, on a freeway, from left to right. I couldn't see if there were cars, had to make Jake tell me when to go. But we did it. Yay.
This was an entry purely for the Leon, if she reads it. Hi Leon!
