Since it's the first snow of the winter (for where me and Bek are anyway), we thought we'd have a ficcing meme. We didn't wanna do one that was already done, so we came up with the Blanket Fic Meme: DCU Edition

"I'm going to kill him," Cassie muttered as she pulled on her warmest pair of pajamas.
Behind her, Kara laughed, "Who Bart?"
"Yes Bart," Cassie scowled, "Why did he even need all the blankets in the Tower?"
"He said he wanted to make a blanket fort," Kara reminded her, "at his house. In Keystone."
"So he took all the blankets in the Tower?" Cassie asked again.
Kara nodded and dug through her wardrobe for a sweater.
"And the central heating is broken, why?" Cassie continued, smiling gratefully when Kara threw her a spare sweater.
"Because Bart tried to drag a blanket through a wall and only the first half of it was vibrating, the rest got stuck in the wall, interrupting the heating system," Kara continued.
"I'm going to kill him," Cassie repeated.
"Oh come here," Kara told her, pulling Cassie close and rubbing circles on her back, "I thought you were invulnerable."
"Doesn't mean I can't get cold," Cassie answered, and pressed her face into Kara's neck, "Mmmm, you're warm."
Kara huffed a laugh, "Let's go to bed, we can kill Bart tomorrow 'kay?"
Cassie sighed and pulled away from Kara, when she looked dejectedly over at the blanket-less bed she whimpered pitifully. Kara rolled her eyes and gently shoved Cassie in the direction of the bed, then returned to her wardrobe and pulled out one of her capes. She waited until Cassie was lying down, then floated down next to her, wrapping the cape around both of them.
Cassie curled in closer to Kara, rubbing her face against Kara's shoulder and tangling their legs together.
"You should come visit the Fortress sometime," Kara teased, sneaking her hand under Cassie's pajama shirt to press her warm palm against Cassie's ribs.
Cassie growled at her and Kara suppressed a giggle, instead pressing a kiss to Cassie's hair. Cassie hummed happily then, and kissed Kara's collarbone in return.
"Go to sleep," Kara told her, "It'll be warm in the morning."
"It better be," Cassie sighed, and snuggled closer into Kara, "thanks."
"You're welcome babe, get some sleep."
It didn't take long for Cassie's breathing to even out, Kara's body heat warming her. Kara stayed awake for a little longer, watching Cassie sleep and trying to figure out how to stop her killing Bart.
She was hoping that more cuddling would be sufficient, kissing if it came to it. Because she really couldn't think of any other way to placate cold, grumpy Cassie. Kara was Bart's only hope.

I don't even think Kara can save Bart from Cassie's wrath, though. :D

Bart can save himself properly, Cassie might be stronger but Bart is A LOT quicker.
