The glaring light of high noon was not pleasing at all. A raven was sitting in a car parked near the pier. He kept glaring at his watch, seemed to be waiting for someone important.
Despite sitting in the car, his appealing appearance has caught so many passers-by’s sight but he wasn’t noticing about it. He was trying his best to keep calm and patient but his bending bows have already told the truth that he wasn’t.

After a while, a masked guy walked toward him.

His eyes couldn’t be seen because of the covering of his dark glasses but the dark-haired could recognize him at once and dragged him into his own car at once.

He started the engine without saying a single word while the other was taking off his mask.

His face was delicately carved and his beauty could not even be described by words. He was such an exquisite artifact that everyone craved to treasure him. Every blink of those big obsidians could drive people to craze.

But obviously, the other man wasn’t attracted by his incredible beauty. He just focused on driving, without a single glance on the other.

The brown-haired hesitated for a moment and said. “Don’t you have something to ask me?”

“I got tidings that he will go to Thailand next week. I want the exact date and time.” The dark-haired said in a cold tone.

“That is?” He jeered.

“What else do you want me to say?”

“Have you heard about Yoshigawa?”

“Yes. He was killed.”

“I did it.”

The raven was mute.

“Do you think it’s okay to sacrifice lives just for your promotion?”

“Not for me, but for our country. I’m just trying to catch them all in a dragnet.”

“Bullshit!” The young man swore at the other and felt his whole body burning in huge rage. “Don’t tell me that you never got promoted based on the information we provided.”

“That’s not the main purpose, Uruha…”

“Yes it is.” Uruha interrupted. “We are risking our lives, and you are relishing yourself in the air-conditioned office.”

“Uruha, I’m not…”

“Shut the fuck up, Aoi.” Uruha gnashed his teeth. You were never concerned about me. Never.”

“Uruha, I was just thinking…”

“He’s suspecting me, Aoi.” Uruha said. “It’s very dangerous for me to meet with you. Do you know about that?”

Aoi kept silence.

“Of course you don’t.” Uruha’s vision blurred. “What does that matter to you? I’m just one of the gangsters. It will never affect you even if I’m chopped, dismembered or buried alive… You just simply don’t care…”

“I care about you.” Aoi gripped his hand suddenly. “I want you back always.”

“The why did you send me there?” To that awful man and let him fuck me according to his will? That’s the way you show your care? Go to hell!”

Aoi stopped the car abruptly and leaned to kiss Uruha.

“What the fuck are you doing? Let me go!”

Uruha knew he could never resist Aoi’s kiss and would follow everything he wished. He hated this.

“I’m telling you how much I love you.” He tore Uruha’s shirt and nibbled the skin around his neck. His hands were busy unfastening Uruha’s belt.

“Stop it, Aoi!” Uruha complained and pounded on the raven’s back but this didn’t do any difference.

When Uruha’s pants were totally stripped off, he realized that he was just making futile effort. He stayed unmoving and allowed Aoi do anything he wanted on him.

Aoi’s hand were caressing the bulge on Uruha’s crotch, making him shivered.

Uruha was starting to lose himself. He had already forgot who he was working for. The country? The police force? Or just Aoi?

He wasn’t sure about it.
But what stayed clear in his mind was his devotion to Aoi. He loved him. He was willing to do everything for him. Everything.

He put himself in danger. He sneaked into the underworld. He did illicit things. He smuggled. He took drugs. He killed.

But no matter what he did, he couldn’t stop loving Aoi.

He just couldn’t.

He was always deterred to ask Aoi this question: Do you love me as I do?

Yet, every time when he was about to ask it, the words floated back to his throat. He didn’t have the courage to know the answer. He knew that Aoi was using him for something, but he simply didn’t care. He just wanted him in his arms. Perhaps that’s when he could enjoy a simple moment of peace.

“He will use his own plane. Four thirty next Thursday.” Uruha said, putting his clothes on.

“Venue?”

“You just check where his plane is.”

“How about the stock?”

Uruha sniffed and gave him a map with a mark on it. “In the warehouse.”

Aoi nodded and smirked. “I promise, it’s the last time. You cant come back as soon as
everything is settled.”

“Then I’ll be put in jail, right?” Uruha sneered.

“I’ll intercede for you. It won’t be long.”

“You’re just a bastard.” He chuckled, looked outside the window and didn’t let Aoi see the moist in his eyes.

The atmosphere became tense and awkward in a sudden.

Aoi should be clear on that, he owed Uruha a lot.

In all circumstances.

He didn’t know how to response, by then he saw Uruha smiled. “Have you ever considered using lubricant?”

He was relieved when he heard Uruha joking. He pecked on the other’s nose. “I’ll remember it next time.”

Uruha put on his mask on, gave Aoi a light smash on his shoulder and got off his car. He watched him go until the red Honda was no longer visible. He mumbled to himself. “But I’m afraid that there will be no more next time.”

Tears slid down his cheeks.

When Uruha got back to his apartment, the man has already been there.

“Where have you been?”

“Nowhere. Just wandering around.” Uruha put down the key and went to the man, burying his face in his thighs.

The man stroked his hair gently. “The police is stalking us. Don’t hang around anymore, okay?”

“Okay.”

“Good boy.” The man grinned and pressed his lips on Uruha’s head. The latter closed his eyes annoyingly.

“Have you prepared the stock for my Russia trip yet?”

“Russia?” Uruha was shocked and looked at the man at once.

“Yes, Russia.”

“What do you mean?” Uruha frowned. “I remembered it was Thailand.”

“I don’t want to be stalked.”

“By who?”

“Come on.” The man looked rather amused. “You know about it, don’t you?”

Uruha was astonished. But still pretended to be calm. “I don’t understand.”

“Who leaked our confidential information, you should know it very well.”

“No, I don’t.”

But the man didn’t utter anymore words. He just glared at Uruha constantly and this really made him feel unpleasant.

‘He’s suspecting me, Aoi.’

It was what he told Aoi earlier. He already had this consciousness.

He should have been more cautious. And now, he drinks as he brews.

“I quite like you. That’s why I’ve granted you enough chances.” The man said. “Didn’t you feel strange when I asked you to deal with the betrayer? I seldom ask you to kill.”

Uruha nodded.

“Clever boy.” The man continued. “But why did you still stay?”

“It’s my job.”

“Oh no, it should not be the only reason.” The man leaned back and shrugged his
shoulders. “At this moment, it’s time for you to be honest.”

“I don’t have any responsibility to tell you.”

“Because of your police friend, right?” He raised his eyebrows.

Uruha didn’t say a word.

“You love him, don’t you?”

What he received was a snort.

The man guffawed when he saw Uruha’s response. “You know he can’t protect you, don’t you?”

“He can.” Uruha said. “But he simply doesn’t.”

“Then why did you still work for him? I can’t see a point.”

“He’s my love.” Uruha answered concretely. “My only love.”

The project was a total failure.

None of the gangsters were spotted. No one showed up and it led to a harsh condemn from the commissioner for Aoi.

He called Uruha several time but what he could hear was just the annoying dial tone.
It seemed that Uruha has already evaporated from this world and Aoi could never be able to meet him again.

He could still remember the day Uruha sat besides him. He said it would be the last time for him. But now, Aoi wasn’t quite sure whether he really meant it or not.

Uruha was worthy for him.

‘He’s suspecting me, Aoi.’

His tone was firm. Maybe it was true. But why didn’t he pay any attention on him?
It’s too late. He has lost the opportunity.

It has been the last time.

The last time he could see and touch him. The last time he could feel his breathe and talk to him.

The last time he could tell him…

To tell him.

It would never be the last time.
