Long Lake is frozen as far as my eye can see. I'm not sure if it's frozen on
h0pefulemul0us' side but there are no birds in the water, there are no waves, and one of those little pedal pusher boats has sunk down in to the water, frozen, and has it's other side pushed out against a dock at a rather unusual angle. I've never seen the lake frozen completely. I should probably take pictures.
Weird dream last night. I saw red underneath the cat's fur. And my mom said, "yea you really need to shave him and clean this part," and she separated his fur. And there was a giant gaping hole in the back left hand side of his body and you could see his ribs and somewhere inside it just started spurting blood. I had to run outside and started heaving. End of dream one.
Start of dream two. I was in a tanish white room with like five other girls and five guys (I think) and each guy was behind each woman with a knife to our throats (I say "our" because I was one of them). And some how I grabbed my guy's knife and he backed away and I tossed it at him like some sort of carnie and then he yelled at me and took another knife and tossed it back at me and I turned in time to not have it pierce my body but I got a scratch along my cheek and arm. Suck. End of dream two.
I'm not even sure how those dreams relate to my life. I think they're just weird ass dreams. Today or tomorrow I'm suppose to find out if I get this job or not but I'm slowly losing faith. I applied like two weeks before Christmas you know? This whole process has taken a month of my hoping and energy. I think I have just enough hope to get through the next two days.
I think I'm going out to lunch today.....probably that Asian joint on 6th ave near the library. And my throat still hurts, been sore since Sunday morning.
