[Since I have time on my hands at the moment, and Ana-mod doesn't seem to be around... I figured I'd go ahead and take care of this. Schattenstern-mod and I had been discussing making this post, and she seemed agreeable to the idea, but for some reason it was never made. Owing to the recent mild crisis of losing our Mannen-mun/main mod, I thought ( Read more... )

Well, character-wise, Yayoi is a side-character anyway, but I do like the idea of her being there to support some of the other girl characters who are going through all this OMG DRAMA while she isn't. She's a nice foil for their angst, and she can give everyone the chance to let off some steam by RPing some fluff.

Also, as one of the few "normal" characters, she'll probably be a lot more affected by the manipulations and stuff from the main plot than, say, Himeno and the knights. So I'm totally cool with some stuff happening to her because of that. Say, her attitude toward Himeno slowly changing as the "hero" archetype gains negative connotations or something. Or even some of the more drastic side effects of the ensife manipulation, such as misplaced identity, lost memories, coma, or whatever.

Game-wise, I am definitely in favour of an OOC community to keep the planning seperate from the game. It just helps to promote suspension of disbelief, and makes plan posts easier to find. Also, I would be pleased to see a cut-down in OOC comments to entries, especially sort of random ones. Mainly for the suspension of disbelief thing, again. It's hard to imagine that Himeno is really the one writing when all the muns are talking in the comments. And yeah, I'm really anal and stuff, but I'd like to have a set system to tell whether journal entries are private or not, as well.

And finally, personally, I think it's a little early to be discussing shipping of any kind, especially until we get a little more into the plot and our characters, to see where things are going to go and what sort of friendships end up developing. Planning too far in advance can sometimes lead to sacrificing plot or characterization for shipping, and I know no one in this comm wants that to happen.
