Title: Sasame's Exile

Summary: Kei wanders into the forest of Leafunia with a mission to save Shin's hat from the river. He happens on to Sasame and there is an exchange of words as to why Sasame has been avoiding the Leafe Knights and the Pretear. COMPLETED.

Kei had thought he would only need to venture a little way downstream, because the river had looked so placid in the sunlight... but he hadn't counted on the actual swiftness of the current, and before long he found himself venturing into the small wood, his steps light and muffled on the mossy ground underfoot.

The denim hat, meanwhile, had become more and more waterlogged and looked like it was getting ready to sink... A little desperate, now, Kei hurried a little to get ahead of it, then made his way down the gentle slope of the riverbank and crouched, stretching out his hand to grab the hat...

His fingers brushed wet denim, and... Yes! He had the hat--but in his momentary triumph he stood a little too quickly to be careful, and lost his footing on the slippery mud at the edge of the river.

With a choked cry, he began to fall forward toward the water, his arms windmilling frantically.

[OOC: *giggles* I now have a very amusing image of arms-windmilling-frantic Kei on his tiptoes at the edge of the river stuck in my mind. >3 Poor thing. Oh, I just kind of assumed Sasame was in the wood, because there isn't really any other place to hide. If that's okay...

If Sasame doesn't want Kei to fall in the water, he's going to have to come out now... :P]
