that's right everyone. last night was homecoming, which means....FUN TIMES! WOOO
So let's start at the beginning. I volunteered to drive some homecoming candidates, which meant I had suddenly become too cool for band uniforms. So I showed up, gave some orders to my dear Nightshade who not only did a marvelous job taking my place on the field but who also carried my instrument and coat out to the stands, and ran over to my car with my band hat (lol) and drove onto the track. I was the first one there, but that was TOTALLY OKAY BECAUSE I WAS CAR NUMBER ONE. muahahaha. Yeah I felt pretty cool. So I stood there buffing my car with a beach towel I found in my trunk because I was too lazy to wash it. The car that is. Not the towel. I don't even remember how the towel got in there.
So I stood. Everyone else showed up. The band marched in and I ran over to the fence and yelled "HEY! HEY BAND! YEAH YOU! WOOOO!" because...I'm retarded? Then Lakewood did their pregame and then Mr. Todd was like GET IN THE CARS! So I hopped in and Kirsten Chen sat up on the back...alone. Mike Iamello was her escort/homecoming king canditate but seeing as he plays football he was rather busy in the locker room. So we just sat and chatted and I got a pretty red flower which was of course difficult to pin on. Buttonieres and I just don't work out. (coughpromcough)
So then it was time to start. Since I was first I...went first. They told us not to go like 1 mph and to kind of hurry it up but then I got reprimanded for going to fast...by everyone. ha ha. I was only doing like 2. Besides me and Kirsten were like THIS IS AWKWARD LET'S HURRY. So we were on like the visitors side of the field and the second car was barely past the goal posts. Also the cheerleaders were sitting right where I needed to drive so I ended up like swerving around them and Kirsten was like no, you should've hit them. it's ok. :P
Then when we were done we maneuvered the cars back into place for halftime and I ran up into the stands brandishing my hat just in time to yell "GET READY FOR THIS!!!" and have the Ashleys giggle at me. ;3 Threw my coat on, put my hair up and realized my lovely gloves of warm army-navy surplus goodness were still on my passenger seat. The first half was pretty ok. We scored a few times and stuff. We played Louie Louie and the Ashleys were so excited about standing on the bleachers and doing the horn swings and I was so proud of themmmmm. ♥ They stood up and danced every chance they got during the game. I love them lol. The rest of my section was rather disappointing. Well, mostly Miles and Josh (expected) and Alicia. Wtf. She's going to be in charge next year. SHE IS SO NOT ENTHUSIASTIC AHHHH. Anyway. The band runs down to the track and I go too, not wearing my uniform. Ha ha. Everyone was like wtf why are you so special? I got my clarinets in line after shooing some bass drums out of the way, told them to make me proud or I would kick them and then ran back to my car because it was freaking cold. :P Stood and watched the show and EVERYONE DID SO GOOD EEEEEE :D :D :D We're gonna kick ass on Tuesday. Lisa Henderson was watching with the rest of the juniors and twirling her flower along with the show and she threw it in the air and it hit someone in the face. lol.
Once Alex Levy and Mike came back out we could finally start. I got to have the wonderful experience of having a sweaty dirty football player on the back of my car and his cleats were pretty much in my face ha ha. But it was ok. It doesn't smell or anything. :P So we drive off and I made sure to go slower than last time and stopped exactly where I was supposed to.....right between the 30 and the 40 in front of the Rowdies. ha ha. So we have yelling and cheering and the three of us sitting in the car feeling awkward and smiling blithely. :P
So they announce the winners and it's Abby Taylor (who I love to death omg she's in studio with me and she's such a sweetheart ♥) and Mike who then gets to climb out leaving Kirsten alone again. lol. Then John Marmora (Mamora?) comes over and says he's supposed to ride with us and climbs in behind my seat. Which is farther back than the passenger seat so he's like squished and I'm like so you could sit on the other....nevermind let's just go. So we went. :P When we drove past the band trailer all the band kids were like KATIE MOORE! and by all, I mean Lizz, Ray and like 8 other people. :P
We finished, I drove my car out (eventually) and drove around the parking lot looking for a spot and surprisingly managed to find one. Then me and Ellepitha walked back together and it turns out both our dad's had conveniently timed midlife crisises. Though I think I got the better deal because Miata > PT Cruiser. imho at least.
Found Aud and Arvo who I haven't seen in like 100 years and we walked back to the stands because I was quite cold and looking forward to my coat. Then we played some more and stuff and me and one of the Ashleys decided to have a competition to see who could yell "M-I-S! T-E-R! MISTER! TOUCHDOWN! OCEAN HIGH!" louder and I SO won. Then we were both like "our throats feel like bleeding. ;_;" But it was good. :)
We started playing Rocky at like 30 seconds (because there was no way lakewood was coming back....45-0 :P) and the trumpets decided to suck at like because it was like "(3 trumpets) duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duhduhduh-duhh-duhhhhh......(no trumpets)" and Kervin was like O__o.... and Mr Soldo was like >_____> So we started again. And got it. Finally. When we were done I felt the need to give the trumpets a warning. "AT LEAST ONE OF YOU IS GOING TO BE FOUND DEAD IN MR. SOLDO'S TRUNK...AND YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE DESERVED IT!!!"
So we lined up on the track and as we were marching out these three cheerleaders somehow cut off our part of the line.
Cheerleaders: *walk into band line right in front of Katie and Aud*
Katie: !!! CHEERLEADERS!
Cheerleaders: *turn around and look*
Katie: .........Oh um..hey.
Cheerleaders: *walk away*
Katie: ...I forgot they could hear...
Aud: Ha ha I fucking hate you.
Then on the way back we tried to convince George to come out to eat with us but he was like no. And we were like PLEEEEEEEASEEEE and he was like no. i want to go home. and we were like BUT IT'S FUNNNNNNNN and he was like .__.; and we were like COME ONNN PLEEEEASEEEE and he's like maybe next week and we were like ok. :)
So me, Aud, Kevin, James, Arvo, Kim, Erin and Jenny all went to Friday's....and so did like a million other people. Including some band parents and Tom "Magic" Spezio and James "Danger" Soldo.
("TOM SPEZIO! WHAT'RE YOU DOING HERE" "I work here!" "Yeah. Just like he works for the band.")
But it was ok because we weren't near them and that's just how we like it. :) So it was pretty fun times aside from Kevin being broken and everyone eating me and Erin's breadsticks. James was even like "can I have the last one?" and we were like "yo you shouldn't have even had your first one."
Then it was time for home-going. At the light on Sunset and 35 someone behind us kept honking and flashing their lights at me and James and I were like WTF? We still don't know who it was or why...we ruled out anything being wrong with my lights and a killer being in the backseat. What with...not having a backseat. But yeah that's a mystery. O__o;
All in all one of the most doubleplusgood games in my memory. :) ♥
Also SATs were this morning and it seemed a lot more bearable than last time. Like not as long. But I feel a lot better about my math this time around, like some of it was pretty hard or really ridiculously like wtf but I knew how to do a lot more. And I feel like I got everyone one of the verbal/critical reading right, but then again I'm pretty sure that's how I felt last time. But I think my score might go up all around. :) Hooray!
(I forgot to mention before that I drew a camel on my graphing calculator during SATs. I'd show it to you, but I don't have it anymore. SOMEONE named AUDREY just had to be like "you can get rid of the axes" and then got rid of the axes...and my camel.
>______>
no it's ok. I'm just kidding. :D
Sort of. :D )
