Summary: I'm doing an emoticon Challenge and there will be 30 stories in all. I broke them down into six series. Saga is the Green -insert emoticon- series. The entire series revolves around Toshiya. X3

It was cute how he tried not to see him- tried to pretend like he’d been looking at the clock behind him rather than at him. If it weren’t for the fact that he had been gazing at said clock for the past half hour, maybe Toshiya would’ve even believed it. As it was, when Toshiya stood up from the bar to approach him, the speed at which he averted his eyes answered any doubts he might have had. He stopped when he was only a foot away, tapping the man unnecessarily on the shoulder.
“ Do I know you?”
The man refused to make eye contact and Toshiya was forced to speak to long dark bangs instead.
“ Hey you. What’s your name?”
“ It’s Saga.”
Toshiya laughed, sitting next to him without a second thought.
“Actually, I already know that. I’m sure you know my name too right?”
“W-wha”
“ Well either you’re a fanboy of me or you think I’m really hot. I suspect it’s both.”
“Don’t say such weird things!”
When Toshiya laughed again Saga seemed to relax, eyeing the older man carefully.
“ You’re drunk.”
“ It is a bar after all.”
“Why are you here Toshiya-san?”
“Well I’m at the bar to drink, but I’m talking to you to find out why I’m so interesting to stare at. It’s much better talking to me instead.”
Saga’s ears turned a shameful red, something which didn’t go unnoticed.
“I’m sorry. I was just really surprised to see you here is all.”
“Surprised enough to stare half an hour?”
“A-aah well…see I was really really surprised to see you. I’m a regular here and I’ve never seen you around before.”
Toshiya rested his chin on his palm, the bigger part of his hand barely managing to hide his grin.
“ That’s probably because I prefer some more…exclusive bars. That and I have other ways of keeping company.”
Perhaps it had been the way he’d said the words or just how he’d looked at him. Whatever it was, Saga felt wary enough to scoot back, nearly sitting on the stool behind him. Toshiya’s brow rose.
“ I’d heard you were the cocky one of Alice Nine…rumors right?”
Saga finally gave a reaction, drawing himself back up on his seat.
“What do you mean by that?”
“ Nothing. It was a question.”
“Well I hear you’re the cockiest from Dir en grey. Are you?”
“ Close, but no. Kaoru is. I’m the most narcissistic, and I’m also the one who gets around the most if you’re still curious.”
Saga blanched and shook his head. “ Too much info! “
“You still haven’t answered my question.”
“Huh? Oh. That. I am.”
Toshiya nodded, downing a drink before returning his attention back on the bassist. Saga squirmed under the scrutiny, his apprehension pushing him back to the edge of his stool once more. Toshiya gave a slow smile.
“Well now that we’ve properly spoken to each other, I guess I’ll head off. Before that though, because I’m quite sure you’ll kick yourself when I leave if I don’t…”
Saga had opened his mouth to prompt Toshiya to finish the sentence, but was cut off when the other’s lips quickly closed in on his own. It was chaste and warm; a thought that hit Saga as he successfully fell off of his stool.
“Oh shit!”
Toshiya walked away from the bar, a grin reaching from ear to ear. Even as he walked out of the door he could hear Saga fumbling to get up with the help of the bartender and a customer or two. Newbloods were always amusing…
