Well kids, you're in for a treat. Today, your ol' friend Shinny is going to elaborate on why life is a living hell! Fun for all.
First topic - Job Corps
I completed the Business program about two weeks ago, setting a center record for completion. This sounds like a good thing in theory, right? Except I'm still stuck here for at least another two weeks minimum to make the 3-month mark, which is the minimum stay on center. That, and I need to have a job. Thus, the last two weeks have been spent almost entirely on faxing resumes out. And getting no word back from anyone. Which leads into the next topic..
Part 2: Where to live?
This part of my dilemma is fueled partially by employment availability. Just my luck that Washington and Oregon have the highest unemployment rates in the nation. Most of my applications have been going out to either the Seattle or Portland areas, though lately desperation has led to applying anywhere a decent job exists.
Part 3: Self-loathing and apathy!
I doubt that there's even three of you who are still reading by this point, so I'll be brief so you don't feel obligated to read too much more of this drivel. At any rate.. Have any of you had that feeling where you know you've wasted your whole life? That's me.
Oh, and for those people I promised postcards: I apologize for my procrastination, apathy, and so on. =(
