Kadaj busies himself in the kitchen, preparing a drink for Yunalesca; she hasn't been the same since the encounter with Lady, and is still recovering, even after repeated applications of healing Materia.

Yunalesca lays in bed; swathed in her own bandages, around her ribcage and over her breasts, her leg, her arm - though none of it is her concern. She presses her back against the bed and stares out in front of her.

"I brought you another drink, beloved," Kadaj murmurs, bringing a steaming mug of tea to the side of the bed and laying it down on the table. "I'm going to go out later and get you some ramen, if you want."

Yunalesca eyes the tea, but doesn't say a word. She doesn't even acknowledge him, but just stares out- not really looking at his face, but just past it.

"Baby, I..." he utters, hurt by the way she doesn't acknowledge him. Sighing, he picks up the tea and brings it to her mouth, trying to feed it to her. "Drink some. Please. It'll make you feel better."

She turns her face away sharply, her arm feebly extending for Kadaj before taking a deep breath and settling it on her belly.

"Beloved..." His voice drops to a whisper, his eyes full of concern; he replaces the tea on the bedside table and with his other hand reaches out to take her fingers in his own, stroking at her skin. "Talk to me. Please."

Yunalesca moves her fingers to intertwine with his and pulls him feebly to sit next to her.

"Yunalesca..." he murmurs, worried by her silence. He does as indicated, moving to be beside her, one arm instinctively wrapping about her body.

She nuzzles into his chest, sighing.
