...or not...
Today is the 1 year anniversary of my LJ. *throws confetti and blows out candles* Whoohoo...
1st Period: English III H with Dr. Snellings. She seems nice enough (I already knew her through Diversity Club, although I only went to, like, 5 meetings *snort*). Our first assignment was to write qualities that we thought defined an American, and then we got into groups and collaborated and shared with the class. Frederique Dupre...is in my class...so is Kelsey Pommer... Homework already -_-;
2nd Period: Mandarin II with Hsu lao shi. I definitely have seen her before, I think she was at that Asian Studies thing I went to the summer before 9th grade. But yeah, she asked us at what level we were, and we were all kind of like "...erm...not that good...". And yeah, she seemed kind of...disappointed. No homework, really, except getting stuff signed.
3rd Period: Free!
4th Period: AP Chem with Mr. Spinelli. Same old first-day lecture that I've gotten from science teachers since 6th grade -_-; 16 people in the class: 14 guys, 2 girls o.O I've never been in a class that unbalanced before since 7th grade when they split us up for Health/Home Ec. Should be interesting. 30 problems for homework, although it's mostly review -_-;
5th Period: AP US History with Mr. Wild. Seems nice enough, although he seems kind of shy because he's always looking down, and not really directly at people...This and the next class are probably gonna be my 2 most intense classes this year. There are 4 WHAP veterans in my class, plus a number of other people I know (like Senjo, hehe). First assignment in that class [besides summer work] is writing a 2 page mini-essay -_-; Whoo...
6th Period: AP BC Calc with M(r?)s. Falk. She's the most awesome math teacher I've had since...ever, I think. She really understands being a teenager and all the stress that comes along with it, and I think that's...relieving -_-; She's very cool, and I can't wait to do online study sessions, hehe. This, combined wtih the previous class, will be my most intense class this year. The better news: no homework! o.O
7th Period: Lunch. Sat with a bunch of people: Toich, Sean, Monica, Esther, etc. Started my Chem homework...
8th Period: Chamber Orchestra with Mr. Farber. 9 cellos. 9. wtf is wrong with that man? *snort* There are also 12 violins, and 3 violas...although we have a permanent bass, now (Adam). hehe.
So yeah, fun day...
Hm...there are quite a few people that are in a number of my classes, like Monica (again): Chinese, APUSH, AP BC Calc, lunch (although that's the day of her free); Adam: AP Chem, AP BC Calc, Chamber; Jerry: AP Chem, AP BC Calc; Justin Tufariello (wtf? -_-): English, APUSH, and probably some others...
