So, this past week Cyndie has been in Chicago preparing for Nationals. I've been working overtime tutoring privately ($70).
However, on thursday when I did the shopping for the colloquium, I stopped by Barnes and Noble in Grossmont center to look for "Homeland" the first of the Drizzt Do'Urden books. Naturally they didn't have it (neither did Borders in El Cajon). But I did end up purchasing another Drow elf series, two books on "the Darwin Awards" and preordering the next Harry Potter book, (whose sur-title I think is silly).
Also, I need to find copies of: The Book of Worlds, Land of 8 million dreams, The Immortal Eyes: the Toy Box, and The Dark Kingdom of Jade.
Tomorrow, Cyndie will come back from Chicago, and will be preped for her surgery on Tuesday. I won't be able to see her until Wednesday after work. But I did find out from her previous Pairs partner, that she called her coach (Yuri) on friday to tell him that she placed 4th in the preliminaries (which is really good considering she is not just competing against skaters her level. This year the skating committee changed the rules, and she is now competting against younger skaters).
Now that internet is re-established in the physics lab, I'll be able to LJ a little more frequently again. I wish ya all well.
