You know I have never played Suikoden any of 'em. I guess I should really. The most l33t game I would say I have plaed would be the Persona Series. What about you?

Persona? (o_O) *hasnt heard of it* Whats it about? For me the bestest game series would 'have' to be suikoden. i know im getting over-zealous about it but its less of a game and more of a story. The makers have recreated an entire world and its history, hundreds of characters and its just so interesting to see how their lives are intertwined and how every character has a story. Theres something in it for everyone and with over 300 chatacters spanning through the trilogy, even people that dislike RPGs are gonna find 'some' favourite characters in it (^_^)

Sounds pretty darn cool actually, I should really pick it up at some point. I knew about the sheer amount of characters but I thought it would just be too damn complicated I guess it works out pretty good though.

Umm the best way to describe Persona is for you to read my most recent post and click on the names.

If you do decide to get it, go for Suikoden 2. Suiko 1 is....(>_>) a bit pants.

No wonder i havent heard of Persona, its an NTSC game. America gets so many more good RPGs than we do (>_<)

Did Suikoden 2 and 3 actually come out over here *is proper clueless* Yeah I shall definitley

Yeah NTSC games don't bother me too much seeing as I own a chipped PSone and a US PS2. Its better that way, I get to play the games I really like (Persona, Persona 2, Xenogears, Xenosaga) all top notch games but none got a UK release and now probably won't ever.

Suikoden 1 and 2 came out here and in the US, Suiko 3 only came out in the US, konami decided not to bother (¬_¬) I imported my suiko 3 and im waiting for my friend to chip my PS2 this week (>_<) But Suikoden 2 is fantastic, its a complete Final fantasy killer. *Stabs Yuna*

I might try Xenosaga, i like the nice shades of blue and white on the box art and im a 'book by its cover' person when it comes to games. Although Xenosaga 'is' coming out over here, youre still better off getting it like you did because i doubt we will see it till the end of this year.

Ah I think I remember the Hoo-haa about Suikoden 3 now.

Ciil I thought the UK had just gone and ignored it like all the other decent RPG's though the US version is a year old this month. Xenosaga is a good game but it isn't the longest you will play by far, it only takes about 45-50 hours(I would consider that short) to go through but the story is fantastic.

Nuuuuu The UK never ignores, the UK is just never given! Blame the big shot game companys that have trouble translating one word from American to English (¬_¬)

I guess a game is as short or as long as you make it really, look at FF8, apparantly it can be completed in 25-30 hours if you rush it, whereas it can also take over 100 hours if you take your time to do everything ever. Now, long is The Legend of Dragoon. That is the duracell battery of the game world. sometimes length can be a little 'too' much.

Xenosaga's translation gap was a year from Japan to the US.

Very true, my last Xenosaga game was/is 78 hours but I plan to level up the characters to max level so I expect to put another 50 in at least. LOD is the Duracell of the RPG world I was rushing through it and I still clocked in over 100 hours and worst of all I was only Lvl 40 odd.

Its not that bad, the highest you can get to in LoD is only Lv 60 then it stops. Its like they didnt quite plan their Levels out. Although to be honest with you when i fought the boss at around lv 40 and then again at lv 60 it still took around the same amount of time *dies* there wasnt really any difference except that i had a bit more HP. And i had Shana and Lavitz back because i hacked them in (^_^) *loves them*
