*hugs* I hope they all pull through.

If he won't eat his normal food, personally I'd try anything and everything until you find what he'll eat. If he doesn't eat then he's not going to have any energy to fight off the virus. I wouldn't be worrying too much at this stage whether or not it's 100% healthy for him. Things that I've found work well for poorly rats are baked beans, mashed potato, mashed sweet potato, hi-life kitten food, nature diet puppy food, tuna, jars of organic baby food (savoury may be slightly better), malt paste. You may find that he'll eat something one day and then turn his nose up at it the next, so you'll have to try something different.

If he's really not eating, try to syringe some water into him to make sure that he's not getting dehydrated. You can tempt them to drink with Dr Squiggles Daily Essentials, but not sure you can get that anywhere except online, Rat Warehouse sell it.

Bloody hell! Although you'll scream, mashed banana can work. You'd have to get Sam to make it or something. Or chocolate yoghurt ( a small amount obv).

Good luck! :(

Porridge (I use the oat so simple microwave ones) and gravy/sauces are easy eat foods - add cooked pasta and sweetcorn to the latter too

Porridge is good, not sure why I forgot that one, I made some this morning for Iona. You can make it with Strawberry complan too, that always goes down well.

sandwich paste/spreads might be useful too - I was using primula for Cmot when I needed to get pills into him
