Today was a decent day.  After classes I got to go to a very cool harp recital over in the new music building.  The new building is incredible and had awesome acustics.  The restroom smelled really nasty though, but I suppose that could be the fault of the person before me.  The music was really good and I am glad I went.  The girl who was playing lived here in Elliott last year, and so I thought it would be nice to go.  I am really dissapointed by the lack of anyone else really from Elliott going.  I think there were like 4 people total from Elliott there.  When someone from your dorm has their Senior recital, I think it is nice if you could make an actual effort to go.  It would suck to go and do something like that, and not have any support from your old dorm or friends.

After that I went to the bsu_freethought club that was going on tonight.  It was really interesting, and I was amazed at the diverse amount of people there.  It is mostly comprised of Agnostics and Athiests, but there were a couple of Buddhists, some Taoists and also some Christians.  It is really cool that such a diverse group of people can meet under the banner of "Free Thought."  I think this club is good for people, and I recommend anyone to attend.  I feel I will get a good amount out of it and it might even help me to get where I am going.

I was talking with iamdyingalone after the meeting, and we were discussing churches.  I really would have to say that my favorite type of church is Quaker.  They are one of the most accepting, non-judgemental churches of any I have been to.  My girl and I have been to a couple, but they seem to draw the "older" crowd.  This is a bit dissapointing to me because if there is one type of church I could see more young people going to, it would be a Quaker church.  It is just nice to see a Church that is accepting and not all about how we are all sinners and doomed to Hell.  Hmm...should Hell be capitolized?  Anyway, if anyone knows of any decent Quaker churches, feel free to leave some info.

I just got done watching Blade Runner for the first time in a while.  Man, I had forgotten how just incredible cool that movie is.  Ridley Scott is a genius and made this movie just feel like it should.  More cyberpunk books/movies could take a good lesson from this movie.  If you haven't seen it yet, I would strongly recommend it.  If you are looking for the book it is based on, it is called "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" by Phillip K. Dick.  Give it a try if you are into good near-future dystopian stories.
