(no subject)
Hello all!!! Yes, it is true, I am finally updating. Sorry about the lack of...well...anything this summer. I was working both at Marsh and Crystal Flash so I had almost NO time to get on the net, much less update this thing. However, I am now working the night desk staff position in Elliott Hall at BSU this year. So my updates will usually come between midnight and 7am. I got the friggin' 3:30am to 7am shift today and it SUCKS!
It is rather nice to be back at school, although I really miss my girl. She did not take me leaving very well this year, but it is the LAST time I am going to have to do this. It is still kinda wierd to be back and I am sure it will not hit me until I have to go to friggin' classes. College would be great if it wasn't for classes..hehe.
Let me just tell you some cool things I did this summer. So just read them and envy me.
- Went to Mid-Ohio to watch the Speed Channel World GT Challenge and the American Le Mans series. They were both awesome events and Mid-Ohio is a gorgeous track. Nothing is quite like having a race-tuned Lambo fly by you at 140mph.
- Visited my mother and her sister up in Fort Wayne. Hopefully, we are going to go to a cookout with them all this Sat.
- Went to a VERY cool drift event hosted by USDrift in South Bend. It was free and you were able to get REALLY close to the track, although it took us like an hour to find the bloody place thanks to construction. After we hit that, we went to Hot Import Nights. I dunno, but it seems like HIN is getting less and less worth the $25 admission and $15 parking. It is wicked with awesome cars, but MAN, that is a LOT of money.
- Went to Modern Speed Labs here in Indy to check out the Skyline R33 GT-R the guy owns and basically just be amazed that there is a NICE import performance shop in Indiana.
- Walked around and got pissed off a the Indy Import and Truck Bash. Ok, let me get this out: PUTTING RIMS ON A STOCK CAR DOES NOT MAKE IT A SHOW CAR!! *whew* Ok, I am better now. But really people, the Indy Truck Bash was terrible. Most of the cars there sucked and all the trucks where low-riders with hydros and stuff. If it wasn't for the drag racing and seeing a 10sec Supra run, it would NOT have been worth the $15. I highly doubt I will be going EVER again.
Umm, that is probably all. I will try to update more regularly now that I have a decent connection and have some time.
