(no subject)
Well, as some of you know (and some of you do not) I am adopted. "What does this have to do with us?," you ask. Well, I am 99.99999999% sure I found my birthmother tonight!!!!
Here is the story:
My girlfriend, my sis and I were all sitting in our house just talking about random things when my sis starting talking about how she had found her real parents. (She is also adopted-from a different family.) We talked about that for a bit and I decided to hit the net for a couple of minutes for some "sleuthing." I look up my birthdate and all that stuff on Google and find nothing really interesting, but I do run across a site called "Adoption.com," so I decided to give that a whirl. I enter in my birthdate, state of birth and all that and one match comes up.
I click on it....
And all the information for this lady matches mine. Where I was born, where I was put up for adoption, the whole she-bang. I registered real quick so I could get her contact information. I finally get all that done, although typing is hard when you are shaking. I get a number for her and I give it a ring....and she answers.
I tell her who I was and how I got her number, and we start talking. We compare information and it is all right. We had the exact same info on the birth time - to the minute, on the birth weight and my measurements. It was amazing and I am still reeling from it.
She is living in Fort Wayne and is a surgical technician. She even knows Denny that lived in Elliott last year, AND she graduated from Ball State. It is crazy. I am now going to go to the place I was adopted from tomorrow with my girl to get that extra .000000001% down and for some confirmation.
