Remember, a million years ago, when I was going to send Sunday out into the cold, cruel world? My first novel query and all that?
Remember how it didn't happen?
Well, then other things happened, and there was sick, and there was relocation, and there was $guy, and there was more sick, and stuff. And now I still haven't done it, only, in the meantime, $guy has been reading it, and it's been so long, I started re-reading through it...
...and realized that aside from the paper edits I was doing on the 'final' draft that were to go in and that chapter I wanted to add, there were suddenly a few more polishes I want to make, and possibly another addition or two.
I mean, we're not talking, "Oh, let's tweak this some more." We're talking, "Wait, how is it I left this really fucking boring part in?" and "Hmm, I should really add something here about this other character."
I don't think the book is unsubmittable as is suddenly, I just realized I could make it yet better than it turned out. So, actually, I'm glad I never got a round tuit.
So I'm going to do one more draft. Which will delay the inevitable pain of rewriting the synopsis, but probably result in an improved chance of publication.
