Well, we did it and we did it well. They're Playing Our Song turned out wonderfully. It was extremely challenging and VERY stressful at times, but we pulled it off! I only sustained one hand injury and that was the night before closing. The set tried to kill me and I stopped it with my hand, but that resulted in my hand getting pinched in between the slats and now I have a long, beautiful, internal dark red line across the side of my hand that looks like someone just drew a really dark line on me with eye liner...ah well. I suffer for my art. And I managed to get through an entire show without getting sick! That's incredible! Perhaps I knew I couldn't afford to because it was only me and Steve and no one to cover for me...or God just truly smiled on me for those months and acknowledged all my hard work. Either way, no sicky-sicky!
I've got some post-show depression going on, but I don't think it will last long because on Saturday I start rehearsals for another musical. Plus the film starts up again in a week. I'm essentially booked with shows, mainly musicals, through July with hardly any time off. That is AWEsome.
Still waiting on my trainer to email/call to set up a time to really start working.
All I can say is that for the next essentially year, my life is going to be insane! :)
P.S. Andy Volk is the coolest in the world for driving like, 3 hours to come see me in this show. MWAH!
