The prairie in morris is getting colder with each day that passes, but I am having a blast frolicking through falling leaves and amongst stars brighter and more beautiful than anything you could ever imagine seeing in the city. The absence of city lights creates a night scene so remarkable you're reminded of presence of a God. Nothing can replace this. I have been hindered by city life, only now, being tossed into a new and completely foreign atmosphere can I appreciate the beauty and full scope of nature. If nothing else, and at the very least, these visions of the universe will be pixelated into my mind and upon graduation when I make the inevitable plunge into the real world (where I will no doubt lose the opportunity to see such amazing sights) I will remember Morris as the place that showed me the beauty of the world. And what is more incredible than just the plain aesthetics of the skyline is the fact that I am just touching the surface. Seeing all of this is just the first layer of what surrounds us. It is a crazy feeling, standing in the middle of a field in the pitch black of night surrounded by only a few friends and miles upon miles of field, staring up into the blackest black that you could ever imagine only to see that above your head, the black rains this amazing light so vivid that you cannot help but stare. But beyond our peripheral vision, beyond what we see when we look up and squint our eyes are lightyears and lightyears of brilliance, so many of these blinding lights that the numbers cannot logically register in our minds. I am truly in awe of the things that I see here on a daily and (more impressively!) a nightly basis. I feel so tiny when I step back and examine the things that I see. Knowing that beyond this earth are so many more, knowing that beyond what our eyes can see lies so much more makes me yearn for..well...more! I am being filled with a strong desire, a strong hunger to experience as much as I possibly can and I love being filled with this emotion.

In short, I am having fun.
