Academy Awards 2008.
My tips:
Best major motion picture of the year- Atonement or Juno, but most probably Atonement.
Best Actor- Johnny Depp or Viggo Mortensen, but I'm hoping for Depp.
Best Actress- I'm hoping for Cate Blanchett, but ellen Page has a chance to win, too.
Best director- jason reitman for "juno" or the coen brothers for "no country for old men"
best supporting actor- philip seymour hoffman for "charlie wilson's war"
best supporting actress- amy ryan for "gone baby gone" or cate blanchett for "i'm not there".
best animated feature- hard to tell, but probably either ratatouille or surf's up.
best screenplay - diablo cody for juno
Last year, I were right most of the categories but was disappointed that the departed won the best movie of the year. This year, Atonement or Juno deserve the win.
But despite that, last year was surely one of the worst movie years in hollywood's history. There werent too many good movies released last year.. except a few worth to be mentioned.
