Chapter 7: Broken Angel
I watched you carefully. Fascinated by every broken breath you took between your ripped lips. Chest falling up and down. Up and down. You must feel lightheaded, right? Fascinating how beautiful it looked. The shadows and secrets in your eyes.
The beauty of a broken angel.
I feel you slipping away, more than I wished. But I will be by your side every second, till the end. Will you feel alone? Will you feel empty? Like that hole in my chest? You can see it, right? You can feel it, grab it, fill it. Right?
You can hear the slow drops echoing, blood rushing. Like a waterfall in a snowy night. Cold. Icy. Foggy. And sharp like a razor. But fast it will not be. It will take you slowly. Like I like it. Like I should love it. But I don`t. This is torture. Painful and harsh. But silent, like your fading breath in this warm afternoon sun.
Your chest is falling, down. Your last breath, almost sounding like you wanted to tell me something. It’s still in the air, that sweet whisper of yours. But I can`t catch the words you tried to say so desperately. And for once, I wished I had hands to stroke away your last tear rolling down your check. Salty and heavy. Much heavier than your dead and hungry body.
You are gone. So fast after all. Say, will you lay here until you won’t anymore? Until only your bones are left? Body being picked on by nasty birds? Nasty like me. Monster. I`m this monster. This demon.
So why do you smile so beautifully? So free?
Why can`t I be that way?
Is that why you pitied me? A free angel prisoned through his entire being. I can have everything, but I have nothing. I have golden wings to fly away, but a hobble around my feet. I have a beautiful attire, but no one to look at it. I have an alluring voice, but no one to listen to my songs. I have a beautiful home, but I`m all alone. Crouching between rotten corpses. Reminding me of all the wins I gained over time.
The wins I don`t want to have.
So I take your body, carefully. For once I don`t want to hurt you. I expanded my huge wings. Taking off. Feathers glowing. Mouth moving to form unspoken words, your sweet lullaby. Eyes pushing away light tears, sparkling in sunrays.
And it felt so good, to just let myself fall, down. Just like your chest did one last time. It will be my last time too. And for some reason I don`t feel scared. I have you by my side. Sinking to the deepest part of the sea. Right above me. My wings engulfing you softly.
For once I could smile, freely, as I took my place next to my sisters and bothers. Now with golden petrified wings.

Well, this is the last chapter. :) Now, I will explain some things, so you can understand this story better. I couldn`t before. It would have spoiled everything. lol I think you all understood the sirens "task" to lure seafarer to their cliff, so they could take them and let them hunger till death.
Now, this is about the fate of a siren, which I must say is really sad in my eyes. Sirens are creatures that are bonded to a certain fate, to always win. They win when they are able to successfully lure their victim with their voice. If they loose, thats like the baddest thing happening to them. They are desperate, unable to accept that they lost. (like they once did in a singing contest with the muses)
Unable to accept it, they kill themselves. Throwing themselves into the ocean and die. I used that fact, letting Kibum become part of the cliff in the end. I hope you all understood. With him killing himfelf he became the cliff. Thats why my story is called "the golden cliff". I didn`t want Kibum to be a victim of his own fate though. I wanted him to realize his own fate. Thats why he didn`t let Jonghyun rot all alone on that cliff, but took him with him. Breaking his own fate and be free. And even though he still is a victim of his own fate in some part, he broke it too. ok? :)
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading this. Pls leave a comment! <3
