A/N: I wanted to give my twinnie something to read before she left for her trip back to her dorm. This is also a little belated something for her birthday. It’s only the first part, sweetie. Hope you like it. Enjoy. Comments and criticism welcome. I appreciate your help.
“Damn, how could he simply leave me alone for the weekend just because of some stupid camp? What spa session actually expects you to sleep over at their facilities?!” Jonghyun complained as he stomped around his room that Friday night. “I need something to keep me distracted while Kibum’s away, that stupid boy! I should call Jinki-hyung. He always has the best ideas!” he thought aloud, his face lighting up as he grabbed his phone to call Onew, absentmindedly listening to the line ringing.
Jonghyun was lonely. It was the first day of his brother’s spa camp - it wasn’t called that but damn it if he cared to pay attention when the younger one was gushing about it to him the other day. ‘It’s not fair! Kibum said he’d always keep me company! And now he goes and leaves me alone!’ Jonghyun thought, his lips unconsciously shaping into a pout as he thought about his situation.
Suddenly, the ringing in his ear stopped only to be replaced by a sweet, “Hello?”
“Hello, Jinki-hyung! I hope I’m not disrupting anything by calling you right now?” Jonghyun asked, to which Onew replied that it was a good time since he was free. “That’s good then. Listen, I called you because I wanted to ask you if you could suggest something for me to do since Kibum left for his spa camp thingy and I’m bored right now,” Jonghyun continued.
“Oh, to keep you entertained? I do have an idea. I was surfing the net some time ago and came across this blog. I wanted to tell you but forgot about it. The owner apparently loves debates, just like you. The blogger’s name is Min but I don’t know if the person is male or female but either way, I’m sure that wouldn’t stop you from having fun, right?” Onew said, chuckling at the other’s ability to find anything to argue about - Jonghyun loved a good argument; he said it pleased him to no end to indulge in one.
“Min often posts about current issues and a few other topics that are similar to your interests so I’m sure that you’d enjoy reading and commenting there plus the blog is updated every night as well,” Onew continued. “Oh, I almost forgot, Min has live online chats every Friday night so you should totally attend it! It’ll be starting soon!” Onew added before giving Jonghyun the web address and promising the younger that he would accompany him by joining the chat with him.
As soon as he hung up, Jonghyun logged onto his computer and internet to view the website. ‘Oh, it works like a forum!’ was his first thought as he browsed through the links. ‘Good thing I’ve already made an account on this. I can simply comment without having to bother with registration,’ Jonghyun thought, a small smile playing on his lips.
Jonghyun first checked out some of the latest entries to get a feel of the blogger’s point of view - he went “Seriously? What were you thinking?!” on some of the topics - then he went to read the rules and regulations regarding the live chats. Imagine his glee when he read that “Anything goes!” for those chats. “I’ll totally enjoy the bashing I’m going to hand out later! I’ll show you how wrong your assumptions are,” he was smirking as he chuckled to himself.
A few minutes later, he noticed that the blog had been updated with a new entry when he went back to the homepage. Clicking the link, he noticed that some people had already started chatting - actually it wasn’t so much as chatting as commenting. To join the live chat, you simply leave a comment about your thoughts and the blogger, Min, as well as other readers would reply your comment with their own thoughts almost immediately.
“Oh my God, this is the best you could come up with?” Jonghyun scoffed when he saw that ‘plastic surgery and its pros and cons’ had been chosen as the issue for the week. Quickly, he scanned the post and its comments; so far, all of them agreed with Min that it wasn’t a good thing despite the fact that it was already common. ‘That is so clichéd!’ was Jonghyun’s thought as he planned his line of attack.
Two hours later, Jonghyun had managed to earn Min’s wrath for effectively shooting down every single one of Min’s retorts, for a lack of a better word. He even had fans who wished to open a fan club just for him. Jonghyun was very pleased with himself for a job well done as he had even managed to comment on some of the older entries while he chatted with Min, Onew having been totally forgotten.
Before he even realised what had happened, Jonghyun was soon regularly posting at Min’s blog with his views and stuff like that which only served to further irritate Min but weirdly, the latter never did ban him from reading and commenting on the blog. Jonghyun never realised how important that daily event was until he went in one night only to see a notice posted up that Min was going to be out of town and thus unable to update for the next few days. Sighing, Jonghyun left his room in search of something else to do.
At first, Jonghyun was fine but as the hours passed by, his restlessness became more pronounced. Upset, he went back to the computer only to find out that he had a number of private messages that wished for him to open up a similar debate entry to cover for Min while the blogger was away. Initially, Jonghyun was in favour of the idea but the more he thought about it, he decided that it would be a better idea to avoid doing it instead. After all, it wasn’t nice to rip Min’s idea of a debating blog but Jonghyun knew that he needed to do something to keep himself sane from boredom.
On that note, Jonghyun randomly went to search up on Min, wondering if he would be able find any information regarding this mysterious blogger whose background no one seemed to know about. He hoped to get good results that would boost his spirits up. The search results caught him by surprise. Jonghyun saw that his search was successful as a few rows of pictures popped up. Besides the usual non-interesting stuff internet searches always had, there were a few pictures that could really fit. For one, a selca of a lovely girl; for two, a heap of pictures of a rather strange-looking soccer player. The soccer player reminded Jonghyun strangely of Spock from Star Trek.
Would a sportsman with a weird look like that really be the brain behind those wars he had battled? The girl seemed to fit the bill better regarding the one whom he’d searched about - Min. When he went to investigate more about the profiles of these two people, Jonghyun found out that they came from the same school - maybe they were kind of blood-related since they did seem a little similar?
In any case, Jonghyun thought she was gorgeous. Without even realising, he had spoke up, “Boy, is she pretty!” to which Key caught as he slipped into Jonghyun’s room, having wanted to inform his elder brother that his best friend, Onew, had arrived and was waiting for him downstairs. Instead, Key quietly crept up to look at the screen from behind Jonghyun’s shoulder as he grinned at Jonghyun’s exclamation.
Jonghyun sighed as he stared at - in his opinion - the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. It was a picture of a school girl posing cutely, her fairly straight hair falling over her shoulders, looking so soft that he wanted to bury his fingers in it. She had messy bangs that were pushed away from her eyes. He guessed that her bangs had grown out but damn if it didn’t make her look even prettier. He had a weakness for long bangs.
Jonghyun audibly cursed when Key piped up, “She seems pretty. You’re really swooning over her. Who’s she?”
“Kibum, why are you in my room? Don’t you know the meaning of privacy?” Jonghyun snapped as he minimised all his open windows and got up from his seat. “Come on, let’s get you out of my room,” Jonghyun said as he pulled Key further away from his computer and towards the bedroom door.
“But Hyung, I came in only to tell you that Onew-hyung is downstairs waiting for you,” Key said, pouting at being pushed out of the room. He was still curious about that girl’s picture. Suddenly, he had an idea on how to stop Jonghyun from keeping him away from the picture of that girl but he knew that it would embarrass him to say it out. Stuttering, he said, “Jonghyun-hyung… Well, I think… I think that Onew-hyung is… I think he’s cute. Could I… Ah, can I stay with you to… I just want to look at him. Can I accompany the both of you?” the last part coming out in a rush.
