Just quickly:

I HATE that people blame Percy for everything. He was still very young and he was basically slapped in the face and told not to feel proud of a great accomplishment and that he wasn't worth that prestigious position and it was due to ARTHUR and nothing to do with all his hard work and fantastic results and competence and everything. Like, who wouldn't be pissed? I blame Arthur. People act like he's this amazing father and yet he should've seen his son was hurt and understood why and instead he just says the most tactless thing imaginable and doesn't get why Percy gets upset. If he truly was that nurturing and compassionate, he should've said something right then and there, or at least, a few days later, to try and reconcile and make him feel better instead of punishing him for lashing out in a moment of wounded pride and emotional devastation.

Percy's struggled for so many years for recognition and praise and his family's just been shitting all over him and treating him like dirt, I mean, I think it's to his credit that he made it that long without throwing in the towel and bailing on people (aside from Molly) who couldn't care less about him and who made his life hell. (oh, yeah, very funny, twins, how hysterical, pelting your brother with rubbish and vegetables, wow- that's almost as good as when you delivered dragon dung to his office)

Also, I HATE that he had to grovel to be accepted back by his family! And that the twin who was responsible for bullying him all those years was STILL calling him names and making him admit to being these things before condescending to forgive him. Where's HIS apology? Where's everyone else's? I think Percy was amazing, because he knew they'd never let him back in, so he swallowed his pride and apologized because they would never compromise or relent and that's what he had to do, but it so wasn't even his fault at all and he shouldn't have had to debase himself like that when other people had more to be forgiven for, damn it.
