Misa grabs Rem's hand and studies it, her mouth tight in concentration. Rem's hand is cold, hard, and nearly fleshless except for the webbing between her fingers. Something quickens inside of Rem when their fingers intertwine.
"Shinigami are weird." Misa pouts and runs her thumb over Rem's thumb knuckles. "Your whole body is like bone! Can you feel anything?"
"More than you know," Rem answers and touches Misa's face.
