Mai HiME takes on Twilight
So that's my latest project. I'm considering to start a long term ff project. I was reading twilight series yet i was kinda let down. The only good bits were when james and victoria were hunting bella down... and that's at the end of the book.... Bella also pissed me off... That's why i felt like vamping up twilight... Currently im kinda into the Mai HiME/Otome fandom... so i thought: why not? Hime's got awesome, complex characters. Oh i know that my idea wasnt original; someone else have already written a mai hime/twilight fic. But that fic was too close to the original book....plus i dont like the idea fujino is bella... fujino is so edward.... Anyway.... my point is im starting a new fic that will be based on Twilight with some twists of my own. It'll be darker, maybe more angsty and definitely more kick-ass action. Problem is: i have an OC.
That's the reason im back on lj. I wanna post my plot ideas and develop my OC. With the help of some rather good critics of course. I hope Lia, Grak and maybe Chee might help me out here. Definitely Lia and Chee since Chee can stand yuri (oh i forgot to mention that...lol. Well its Shiznat....) and Lia seems indifferent and will take this rather professionally... I hope Grak will lend a hand, maybe with the OC creation if she cant stand my fic...
Important Note: I have decided that this fic will be called Tasogare: 黄昏 (jap for twilight)
Now onto what i want to actually post today. The above was intro, and im not stuffed with proper grammar right now...its just ranting. I'll shall explain the plot of my 1st chap. So far it's moving rather too slow for my taste but there's heaps to explain and build up. Everything is linked and important for the future plot of the story... I have 5 pages and im probably only half way through.... so i'll show put a cut here for those who wish to explore my ideas with me.
Chapter 1- Fuuka Gakuen
I started off a bit like Twilight with Natsuki (Bella) going away. But it's in third person coz I can't handle 1st person. Unlike Bella, Natsuki is going away because she really wants to leave. Here's some bg for Natsuki:
After ride they reach home to discover Natsuki's dad has bought her a bike... as a reconciliation gift. But Natsuki was too proud to accept. Hikaru tries to persuade her in vain...It took the whole family to get her to accept... Her relationship with her father is an important part of my plot so keep that in mind. So Natsuki tries to settle into her new, i guess permanent, home.
Next day she goes to Fuuka Gakuen.... heres the harder bit....shall i follow twilight with the fateful meeting for follow hime? or be original? here's some ideas:
Twilight:
What i didnt include in the above was the depth of Hikaru's role. Hikaru will be a very important character as she is my plot device thingo... I'm using her to explain my real plot. I'll explain more in my next post. I'll introduce Hikaru and her secrets then. She's also wat brings the two main characters together in the 1st place....in a more subtle way. I know this will end up being mary sue but im working on toning it down. She's a major because that's how i could tell the story... But i hope she is loveable....
Ahh that's about it i guess... When im done with the actual fic i'll post it on ff.net.... but i need someone to beta it first....maybe i'll do a preview here first.... I'm planning to go for 4 or 5 fics following the basic plot for the first 3 books by meyer and other two will be personal projects... where i could finally explore my own style of writing and create my own plots....one will be a sequel to the prev 3 and one will be a prequel if Hikaru gets enough love.

- we do the annoy crowd (eric, mike etc) and get them to meet in bio?
- Shizuru (Edward) will be her senior
- the flower garden thing. umm...when natsuki was gonna kill a flower Shizuru stops her. thats the beginning of their slow friendship.
- Combining both elements
- same yr and class
- Shizuru starts with dislike because of scent and because Natsuki seems to see past her mask (will be more clear in fic)
- But Shizuru actually was intrigued by her.
- Shizuru tries to get more info off Hikaru
- Shizuru delibrately meets Natsuki in garden and stopped her killing flower.
- Natsuki annoyed at her for minding other ppl's business and her fake mask
- Natsuki however was drawn by her beauty and eccentric-ness i guess....
