I DID IT!!! Finally I saw Hikki LIVE in Japan!
The set list is exactly the same as it was for the first day of the concert so I won't really get into that.
Seeing the live stream at the movie theater was pretty awesome because the cameras would zoom in like WOAH so you could see all of Hikki's expressions like she was literally standing right in front of you.
...But seeing her LIVE!!!
There's nothing more awesome than the feeling of the music - the drums, the bass...and more than anything else, the vocals!!! resonate through your body...it's amazing. So just like I mentioned for the previous day, songs like "Passion" were seriously orgasmic o_o.
Our seats! We were on the second floor, but they did a great job designing the concert set - even where we were sitting, we had no issues seeing Hikki...that goes almost for everyone at the concert!
It was a very simple concert - just Hikki, the audience, the band, and AWESOME MUSIC. And that's all she needed.
I think that Take 5, Stay Gold, and Beautiful World can tend to be pretty underrated...I mean, I love them all TONS, but then again I am overly biased. I don't really hear NON-super hardcore fans talk about these songs, but they are so so so much more amazing live!! I think maybe because they sound much more simple? in the recorded versions, but during live performances you can hear all the awesome sounds in the background that blend to make the songs so GENIUS.
At the end of this year, Hikki will be going into a long break! I hope that she gets to do all the things she wants...and comes back refreshed, with more amazing music. (And hopefully the sooner the better!)
On a totally different note, some random photos from when I was wondering around Minato Mirai before the concert, since I had taken the day off and decided it would be a good opportunity to hang out in Yokohama, and it's been awhile.
A beautiful day at the Akarenga Soko. I've still never been to Yamashita Park before o_o
World Porters!!! I went to randomly play at the game arcade there (Kicchan you've got me totally hooked)...I managed to get two things of chocolate on the first try! I wanted to play some more but this guy working there kept talking to me...not to sound stuck up, but I'm quite sure he was hitting on me (at one point he offered to give me free credits for the UFO catcher?) so it got too awkward to hang around any longer D:
Aaaaaaaand lunch. Indian curry, since ethnic foods don't really exist in Kamogawa. Totally stuffed myself and even had extra nan! I was so full that I didn't even bother eating dinner o_O
I love Chiba but Kanagawa Prefecture and Yokohama will always be my first home (in Japan) <3
