welcome 2011! :D :D :D long animanga update/ramblings ahead!
So, um. Hi everyone! ^^; Hope you had an awesome New Year! This post is going to be a bit long, since I'll be doing my 2010 round-up (Fall 2010), followed by my new season impression (Winter 2010-2011) + next season (Spring 2011) comments :3 I apologize if I haven't replied/contacted/greeted you guys T___T I haven't been online for a very long time T__T
»»» First off, I'd just like to say that 2010 had been a year filled with triumph for my crack!OTPs 8D My crack -turned not-so-crack- OTPs, let me show you them :3
[a] FAIRY TAIL - Gray/Loke - I started reading/watching Fairy Tail in the last half of 2010. During the first few chapters, I shipped Gray and Loke, for no other reason than because they looked like they could work well together (they didn't have any missions together then). And in the latest chapter... they're partners for the S-Class Exam, because they're apparently BFFs, or something. Yay! ❤
[b] BLEACH - Aizen/Ichigo - I started shipping them during the Rescue Rukia Arc, where Aizen was still wearing his NICE GUY~ mask. I honestly can't remember if the ~I CAN REACH YOUR HEART~ badtouch happened early 2010 or late 2009, but I'm counting this here XD
[c] SHIKI - Toshio/Natsuno - Of course my Shiki!OTP has been Tohru/Natsuno & Toshio/Seishin when I first started the manga, though there's always been an awesome hint of chemistry between Natsuno and Toshio in their first meeting-Toshio seems like he's taking Natsuno seriously, and Natsuno needs someone more mature, in a way, with his plan to defeat the Shiki. Of course with everything that has happened so far... with Toshio and Natsuno ending up being comrades, OTP get! ❤ Anime's finished, but the manga is still ongoing! o/
[d] DIGIMON XROS WARS - Kiriha/Taiki - ...okay, I watch Digimon Xros Wars LOL I shipped them when I saw the opening song/animation. And now they're officially ~rivals~ and. asdfghjkl Thank you, HoYay senses, for not failing me LMAO
[e] STAR DRIVER - Head/Sugata - or if you prefer, Reiji/Sugata. I shipped these two even before the show started. I looked at the promo poster (the one where Sugata and Head are standing at Tauburn's 'edges') and at the seiyuu cast and decided that I ship them ❤ Of course, the first few episodes are going for Sugata/Takuto HoYay, but ever since Sugata and Head met up ~in the sunset~ they've been raising their own HoYay! ❤ Head is most probably just dicking around and messing with Sugata, but his line about ~painting what he loves is what he considers to be happiness~, immediately followed asking to paint Sugata's portrait. That's definitely a confession. (Of what sort, well that's still up for debate, but it's still a confession. Proposition. Something. :D)
[f] GINTAMA - Takasugi/Kamui - I'll be honest and say that when I first saw Kamui and his sadist grin, and knew about his connection with Kagura, I first shipped him with Kagura / Okita (for a hot sadist duo). Then his interaction with Abuto is rather cute (and not really like what you'd expect from boss-subordinate). Then there's his DON'T DIE TILL I KILL YOU, MMMKAY? :D thing with Gintoki. But then, after a little consideration, I shipped him the most with Takasugi :D They're both proficient with fighting and destruction-with Kamui preferring to be at the centerstage of the bloodbath and Takasugi preferring to control everything from the shadows. And they both have connections with the Harusame, so they can always meet and decide to fight each other or something. More importantly, they will make the best couple in Gintama (and by best couple, I mean that everyone else will be dead because of their crazy powers).
...AND THEN CHAPTER 310-311 comes along. I've always hoped that Takasugi and Kamui will somehow work together (they're the two strongest/hottest/evilest antagonists of the series, after all; I expected that it'll be like, 'oh we're both at Earth, we can help each other a bit'), but their mini-arc is much, much, much better. :D For one, Kamui is so MOE MOE MOE in the chapter. His eyes were actually open for a lot of times without him looking crazy LOL Their interaction was actually cute and surprisingly friendly (well, friendly for their mass-murderer standards). Then they have this mutual respect for each other, and Kamui's strength/power has definitely peaked Takasugi's interest, and Takasugi's psychic-ness has definitely amused Kamui. Then Kamui gets set up by the Harusame, then Takasugi visits him in prison and they have this talk about Takasugi wanting to meet someone like Kamui (aboard Harusame), and OMG. I know they're most probably just going to end up using each other, but, but. OTP, man. Takasugi rescues Kamui, after all, then they have this conversation of not dying ahead of each other and dying together and going to tour hell together asdfghkl. Why do the ~Bad Guys~ always have the best chemistry? *shot* Anyway, the chapter ends with Kamui proclaiming himself to be the Admiral (first he claims being the King of the Night/Yato, then now Harusame Admiral! On his way to ~Pirate King~! o/); Takasugi and Kamui being all BFFs and going to Earth. I WANT TO SEE THE TWO OF THEM AGAIN.
Since Kamui is rather laidback, I'm hoping to see a lighter/humorous side to Takasugi, somehow. Maybe something like Kamui depleting all of their food supplies HAHAHA. Also, the new merchandise for Gintama and the new opening songs for Yorinuki Gintama-san... shows Kamui and Takasugi side-by-side/together. I think I died when I saw the scene in the 4th OP of Yorinuki Gintama-san with Kamui's and Takasugi's crazyface looking so similar. OMG THEY NOW HAVE SAME EXPRESSIONS. asdfghklOTP❤❤❤

• STAR DRIVER is still ongoing, but since Head is going to be on the spotlight for the next couple of episodes, and he happens to be my favorite KIRABOSHI~☆ member, so. Good Haro's site is a good place to be if you want to see spoilers / read&post speculations etc for Star Driver. But well. IT'S FULL OF SPOILERS, so go there at your own risk :D
• Shiki & Kuragehime were definitely my top FALL 2010 shows :3 Now that their animes have ended, I'm looking forward to seeing their manga counterparts to see if things will end differently :)
• Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt & Bakuman - I'm lagging a bit, but since they have next seasons, I'm sort of okay with the lag LOL Togainu no Chi = DISAPPOINT, A-1. I had such high hopes because of what they did with Kuroshitsuji II (and of course, their other works too) but. EH. Yakumo, Arakawa S2, Hetalia & Index Season II & Letter Bee REVERSE - I've only watched a few episodes here and there, but I haven't had time to actually watch everything 8D
• I've heard good things about Hakuouki II, Otome Youkai Zakuro, Tantei Opera and Soredemo Machi, and I have their episodes, but. No timeeeee to watch them.

❖❖❖ CURRENTLY FOLLOWING
• Level E - from the mangaka of Hunter x Hunter / Yu Yu Hakusho; a lulzy show about an alien prince that has the most intelligent brain and the most despicable personality
• Hourou Musuko - because the manga's art and story are beautiful; a bit of srsbusiness/slice-of-life/adolescence show to balance Level E's lulz
• Cardfight!! Vanguard - ...because MIHASHI IS THE PROTAGONIST asdfghjkl and I'm really a kid at heart hahaha. Oh, and Sasuke/Ishida/England is there too. LOL
• Beelzebub - though I'm thinking of just scrapping the anime and settle for the manga, because the anime is EHH;;; I'll probably watch a few episodes here and there because of FURUICHI-SAMA and me shipping him with that punk Oga LOL;;; Shipping aside, I'm still confused why is Furuichi-who has good grades, rich family, not a delinquent-BFFs with someone like Oga. Until that question is answered I'll probably not stop following this show orz
❖❖❖ SORT-OF FOLLOWING
• Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, Yumekui Merry, FRACTALE, Gosick, Dragon Crisis, Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka? --- their first episodes/OP songs were all rather okay-ish, I guess? I'm waiting for them to reach 3-4 episodes so I can see if their stories are getting somewhere.
• Kimi ni Todoke was sweet on its first few episodes/chapters, but everything's just so peachy that it becomes boring to me orz;;; I'll still watch this, but as a marathon once everything's finished.
• I want to watch FREEZING and IS: Infinite Stratos, but their first episodes are MEH, so. I'll probably see the reviews/comments/reactions after they end then that's when I'll decide if I'll watch them or not :|
❖❖❖ FILMS/OAD
• SOUKYUU NO FAFNER HEAVEN AND EARTH-!!! A definite number one on my list of films to look forward to. LOL Macross Frontier / Bleach / Inazuma Eleven are also films that I want to see, but. OMG FAFNER MOVIE. OMGGGGG.
• For OVAs, there's .hack OVA coming up, with Kuragehime OVA. The Goulart Knights OVA poster looks nice too, so I'll definitely check it out. And more importantly. OMG FAFNER MOVIEEEEE. *shot*

❖❖❖ DEFINITELY FOLLOWING
• Gintama will be back on April 2011! \o/ \o/ \o/ if you skipped through my Takasugi/Kamui fangirling above, well. Please know that once Gintama airs, I probably won't stop counting down until they show the episode for chapter 310-311 HAHAHAHA. I want to see Gin-chan in HD. And Katsura. And Yamazaki. And the Kondo/Otae date (HAHAHAHA). And Okita-sama. And the Hijikata/Gintoki ghost-hijinks. And Kagura. AND TAKASUGI AND KAMUI IN HD. OMG. LOL I still can't stop fangirling over it.
• Sekaiichi Hatsukoi - one of my newest BL finds (yes, I apparently live under a rock). From the same mangaka as Junjou Romantica! I think Sekaiichi has a more solid plotline, characterization, art, dialogue, everything! I'm don't really like BL (or any romance, actually) where the characters start off as strangers/hate each other, and then are lovey-dovey by the end of the chapter/volume. It's been 4? volumes already and the characters are well, in a relationship (of sorts), but it's still more realistically rocky than others. BUT ANYWAY. A definite yes to my watchlist ❤
• Ao no Exorcist - ...It has exorcists. ❤ Well, the story is cute as well! But EXORCISTS! :D My bias is showing LOL The characters are rather adorkable, too. I personally like the main character's brother more, but the main character isn't so bad :D I've read the first volume for the manga, but I want to leave out some stuff for the anime to surprise me so I'm putting the manga-reading on hold first 8D
• DEADMAN WONDERLAND - to be animated by MANGLOBE, and HOLY SHIT YESSSSSS. Very violent manga but asdfghkl I love this. /my bias is showing again hahaha. omg deadman wonderland aaaaah. I paused on reading the manga but I saw spoilers about the recent chapters and asdfghjkl finally hahaha. Can't wait to see this one animated :D :D :D
• Moshidora - baseball + female protagonist + Production IG = DEFINITELY. The art looks wonderful too. ❤
❖❖❖ (second-priority) FOLLOWING
• SKED DANCE - YEAHHHHH :D :D :D I've read the first few chapters and so far I'm loving this lighthearted manga. I'm looking forward to this anime! :D
• [C] - nothing much is released about this show, but since it's noitaminA + Kenji Nakamura (Mononoke), it's already a definite MUST WATCH for me 8D
• Hidan no Aria - by JC Staff. Saw the words Assault Studies in the summary, so. WATCHING THIS! Hahaha. The character designs look rather simple, but as long as the story is good, everything should be okay :3
• Maria Holic: Alive - I haven't finished season 1, but I enjoyed the story so I'm definitely watching this! (...once I finish season1)
• Showa Monogatari - I usually hate slice-of-life, but srsbusiness slice-of-life = good for me, so. Haha.
• Nichijou - slice of life, but it looks so... interesting. Especially since I saw robots and card castles in the summary /bias
❖❖❖ (low-priority) FOLLOWING
• Toriko - ...well, it is about food. LOL Not something I'll follow obsessively, but it's good for the nostalgia factor. And the food. Hahaha.
• Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko - is going to be animated by SHAFT and the summary isn't so bad, but the promo poster has PANTY SHOT! so that's a @___@ for me.
• Tono to Issho S2 - I've heard good things for its season 1, so I'll check this once I actually finish season 1 LOL
• STEINS;GATE - same creators as Chaos;Head. I've seen the first chapter of the manga and I think the story is more solid and the mystery is better (so far) compared to Chaos;Head, so I'll check this out :D
• YU-GI-OH! ZEXAL - ...There's a new season of YGO...? Does this mean 5Ds has ended? LOL I need to catch up with that show. I'll definitely check this out, if only for the nostalgia factor LOL
• Hyouge Mono by Bee Train & Appleseed XIII by Production IG - they sound interesting enough from the summary/blurb, but the main reason I'm checking them out is because I enjoy the work from Bee Train and Production IG *shot* Not very high on priority as of now, but they might surprise me :D
❖❖❖ MOVIES/OVAs
• For OVAs, there's Gundam Unicorn 3, xxxHOLIC Rou Adayume, Princess Resurrection, .hack Quantum and Fairy Tail. There's also Norageki from Sunrise, and while I don't know anything about it, the fact that it's Sunrise and the poster looks okay is already good enough for me 8D
• For Movies, there's quite a number of films that have PRETTY and AWESOMEEE posters, so I think I'll watch them all, hahaha. There's Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence, Ghost in the Shell SAC Solid State Society, Onigamiden, Tezuka Osamu no Buddha - akai sabaku yo utsushiku, Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo & The Moon: Tsuki ga Hoshii to Oujo-sama ga Naita.

• BLEACH has a new arc that's progressing rather nicely (albeit a little slowly) and I appreciate giving time to the earlier characters (OMG ISHIDA YOU SO HOT; OMG ORIHIME YOU SO MOE). There are new characters, though I don't think the introduced characters that looked overly suspiciously evil are the real ~bad guys~ in this arc. I'm still waiting for Aizen's great escape from the Soul Society prison-and of course, still holding on to the hope that it's Ichigo who will break him out there (FOR IRONY. and for shipping. BUT MOSTLY FOR IRONY.) More Chad is always great too! And there's Ryuuken! OMG :3
• NARUTO started the war already and while I'm glad that they didn't really drag on for too long for the first few fights, I kind of wanted Sasori and Deidara to last longer ;___; Kabuto's plan of betraying Madara is being hinted at more heavily as well, so I'm looking forward to that. There's almost MOAR SUIGETSU (and was that a Suigetsu/Karin hint? omg my het-shipping heart!) Also, I saw the Naruto "OVA" (isn't it just a really pretty music video/promo for next arc type of thing? BUT I'M NOT COMPLAINING.) Watching it made me inspired to write SasuNaru again (and fic in general) so you'll see that effect once I start posting mass updates (by this weekend, I think) LOL But stiiiill. Even though the "OVA" is SasuNaru-centric... that scene when Itachi leaned down to Sasuke still made me go asdfghjklITASASU ;___;
• D.GRAY-MAN is... confusing. My head hurts just thinking about it, so I hope it starts to make more sense after a few chapters pass. LOL
• REBORN! has HIBARI-SAAAAAAN. I actually haven't read Reborn! in maybe three months, but when I started reading it yesterday, OMG THERE'S DAEMON SPADE. OMG THERE'S HIBARI BEING HOT. OMG THERE'S HIBARI BEING DERPY. OMG THERE'S HIBARI MAKING COMMENTS TO TSUNA. OMG HIBARI/TSUNA OTPPPPPP. Hahahaha. I'm torn between wanting Hibarin to win (since he did ask Tsuna to watch him fight hnnnnngh) and wanting him to lose (since losers go to Vindice which means Hibari/Mukurooooo). Yes, I realize that my KHR!interest is only there once there's Hibari, Mukuro or Byakuran involved OTL
• KUROSHITSUJI just made me go HOLY SHIT I LOVE RONALD KNOX this chapter. Hello, yangire much? HAHAHAHA. It made realize that I really have a thing for happy-go-lucky, smiley-face characters suddenly being SADIST MODE and/or BATTLE MODE. LOL
• SOUL EATER, on the other hand, made me go HOLY SHIT DEATH THE KID IS HOT this chapter. Justin Law's crazyface makes an appearance too. And Waffles. And Noah/Waffles LOLOLOLOL AND MORE IMPORTANTLY. FUCK YES, CRONAAAAAA. He/She? is much hotter and awesomer as a bad guy. Soul Eater Not (a spin-off?) is so adorably MOEEEE. And yuri threesome! That one is certainly interesting :DDDD

• Gintama will be back on April 2011! \o/ \o/ \o/ if you skipped through my Takasugi/Kamui fangirling above, well. Please know that once Gintama airs, I probably won't stop counting down until they show the episode for chapter 310-311 HAHAHAHA. I want to see Gin-chan in HD. And Katsura. And Yamazaki. And the Kondo/Otae date (HAHAHAHA). And Okita-sama. And the Hijikata/Gintoki ghost-hijinks. And Kagura. AND TAKASUGI AND KAMUI IN HD. OMG. LOL I still can't stop fangirling over it.
• Sekaiichi Hatsukoi - one of my newest BL finds (yes, I apparently live under a rock). From the same mangaka as Junjou Romantica! I think Sekaiichi has a more solid plotline, characterization, art, dialogue, everything! I'm don't really like BL (or any romance, actually) where the characters start off as strangers/hate each other, and then are lovey-dovey by the end of the chapter/volume. It's been 4? volumes already and the characters are well, in a relationship (of sorts), but it's still more realistically rocky than others. BUT ANYWAY. A definite yes to my watchlist ❤
• Ao no Exorcist - ...It has exorcists. ❤ Well, the story is cute as well! But EXORCISTS! :D My bias is showing LOL The characters are rather adorkable, too. I personally like the main character's brother more, but the main character isn't so bad :D I've read the first volume for the manga, but I want to leave out some stuff for the anime to surprise me so I'm putting the manga-reading on hold first 8D
• DEADMAN WONDERLAND - to be animated by MANGLOBE, and HOLY SHIT YESSSSSS. Very violent manga but asdfghkl I love this. /my bias is showing again hahaha. omg deadman wonderland aaaaah. I paused on reading the manga but I saw spoilers about the recent chapters and asdfghjkl finally hahaha. Can't wait to see this one animated :D :D :D
• Moshidora - baseball + female protagonist + Production IG = DEFINITELY. The art looks wonderful too. ❤

• SKED DANCE - YEAHHHHH :D :D :D I've read the first few chapters and so far I'm loving this lighthearted manga. I'm looking forward to this anime! :D
• [C] - nothing much is released about this show, but since it's noitaminA + Kenji Nakamura (Mononoke), it's already a definite MUST WATCH for me 8D
• Hidan no Aria - by JC Staff. Saw the words Assault Studies in the summary, so. WATCHING THIS! Hahaha. The character designs look rather simple, but as long as the story is good, everything should be okay :3
• Maria Holic: Alive - I haven't finished season 1, but I enjoyed the story so I'm definitely watching this! (...once I finish season1)
• Showa Monogatari - I usually hate slice-of-life, but srsbusiness slice-of-life = good for me, so. Haha.
• Nichijou - slice of life, but it looks so... interesting. Especially since I saw robots and card castles in the summary /bias
❖❖❖ (low-priority) FOLLOWING
• Toriko - ...well, it is about food. LOL Not something I'll follow obsessively, but it's good for the nostalgia factor. And the food. Hahaha.
• Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko - is going to be animated by SHAFT and the summary isn't so bad, but the promo poster has PANTY SHOT! so that's a @___@ for me.
• Tono to Issho S2 - I've heard good things for its season 1, so I'll check this once I actually finish season 1 LOL
• STEINS;GATE - same creators as Chaos;Head. I've seen the first chapter of the manga and I think the story is more solid and the mystery is better (so far) compared to Chaos;Head, so I'll check this out :D
• YU-GI-OH! ZEXAL - ...There's a new season of YGO...? Does this mean 5Ds has ended? LOL I need to catch up with that show. I'll definitely check this out, if only for the nostalgia factor LOL
• Hyouge Mono by Bee Train & Appleseed XIII by Production IG - they sound interesting enough from the summary/blurb, but the main reason I'm checking them out is because I enjoy the work from Bee Train and Production IG *shot* Not very high on priority as of now, but they might surprise me :D
❖❖❖ MOVIES/OVAs
• For OVAs, there's Gundam Unicorn 3, xxxHOLIC Rou Adayume, Princess Resurrection, .hack Quantum and Fairy Tail. There's also Norageki from Sunrise, and while I don't know anything about it, the fact that it's Sunrise and the poster looks okay is already good enough for me 8D
• For Movies, there's quite a number of films that have PRETTY and AWESOMEEE posters, so I think I'll watch them all, hahaha. There's Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence, Ghost in the Shell SAC Solid State Society, Onigamiden, Tezuka Osamu no Buddha - akai sabaku yo utsushiku, Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo & The Moon: Tsuki ga Hoshii to Oujo-sama ga Naita.

• BLEACH has a new arc that's progressing rather nicely (albeit a little slowly) and I appreciate giving time to the earlier characters (OMG ISHIDA YOU SO HOT; OMG ORIHIME YOU SO MOE). There are new characters, though I don't think the introduced characters that looked overly suspiciously evil are the real ~bad guys~ in this arc. I'm still waiting for Aizen's great escape from the Soul Society prison-and of course, still holding on to the hope that it's Ichigo who will break him out there (FOR IRONY. and for shipping. BUT MOSTLY FOR IRONY.) More Chad is always great too! And there's Ryuuken! OMG :3
• NARUTO started the war already and while I'm glad that they didn't really drag on for too long for the first few fights, I kind of wanted Sasori and Deidara to last longer ;___; Kabuto's plan of betraying Madara is being hinted at more heavily as well, so I'm looking forward to that. There's almost MOAR SUIGETSU (and was that a Suigetsu/Karin hint? omg my het-shipping heart!) Also, I saw the Naruto "OVA" (isn't it just a really pretty music video/promo for next arc type of thing? BUT I'M NOT COMPLAINING.) Watching it made me inspired to write SasuNaru again (and fic in general) so you'll see that effect once I start posting mass updates (by this weekend, I think) LOL But stiiiill. Even though the "OVA" is SasuNaru-centric... that scene when Itachi leaned down to Sasuke still made me go asdfghjklITASASU ;___;
• D.GRAY-MAN is... confusing. My head hurts just thinking about it, so I hope it starts to make more sense after a few chapters pass. LOL
• REBORN! has HIBARI-SAAAAAAN. I actually haven't read Reborn! in maybe three months, but when I started reading it yesterday, OMG THERE'S DAEMON SPADE. OMG THERE'S HIBARI BEING HOT. OMG THERE'S HIBARI BEING DERPY. OMG THERE'S HIBARI MAKING COMMENTS TO TSUNA. OMG HIBARI/TSUNA OTPPPPPP. Hahahaha. I'm torn between wanting Hibarin to win (since he did ask Tsuna to watch him fight hnnnnngh) and wanting him to lose (since losers go to Vindice which means Hibari/Mukurooooo). Yes, I realize that my KHR!interest is only there once there's Hibari, Mukuro or Byakuran involved OTL
• KUROSHITSUJI just made me go HOLY SHIT I LOVE RONALD KNOX this chapter. Hello, yangire much? HAHAHAHA. It made realize that I really have a thing for happy-go-lucky, smiley-face characters suddenly being SADIST MODE and/or BATTLE MODE. LOL
• SOUL EATER, on the other hand, made me go HOLY SHIT DEATH THE KID IS HOT this chapter. Justin Law's crazyface makes an appearance too. And Waffles. And Noah/Waffles LOLOLOLOL AND MORE IMPORTANTLY. FUCK YES, CRONAAAAAA. He/She? is much hotter and awesomer as a bad guy. Soul Eater Not (a spin-off?) is so adorably MOEEEE. And yuri threesome! That one is certainly interesting :DDDD
