Television Is Running My Life... And Some Other Things...

"Haha I love gargoyles."
- Ol' Whatshisface (Same, dude. Same)

We're gonna kick it old school on this one. Instead of alot of little entries, Imma highlight several things in one entry. *clears throat dramatically*
Without further ado…
*** I don't care what anybody tells you, nothing they say will be able to spoil Tiger King. I mean, people were mentioning it and nothing, and I truly mean NOTHING could have prepared me for the life of Joe Exotic, Carole (Bruh, Carole is a black widow after my own heart), Doc Antle, Jeff… you know what? No. You've gotta watch this shit because it's not binge watching. It's experiencing. Tiger King is an experience. Sure, a conversation can be had but unless you sit down to experience it for yourself, whatever you are told means squat. It's worth the price of admission just for Joe's song "Here Kitty Kitty" with a Carole look alike feeding pieces of her husband to the tigers. No no. Or the part where Carole points out that Joe's shoes couldn't have been perfumed because a tiger would need something like sardine oil to entice it into eating a person. Wait… Why do you know that Carole? The 🐅 tiger dragged Joe across the ground by his leg with Joe screaming "Get this bitch off of me!" Two things I noticed: The camera man didn't drop the camera to save Joe. As a matter of fact, nobody flinched in his direction. Secondly, the white 🐅 tiger watching the entire thing go down like: "So… Are we really doing this? 👀👀👀" Bruh, nothing I say will mean anything without you watching the entire thing for context.
*** Started rewatching Gargoyles this week. People don't give 90's television their props. TV nowadays tend to water things down for kids. Apparently, when I was a kid, water was for the weak cuz people were dropping like flies on this show. Shit, Broadway accidentally shoots Elisa with her own gun in Episode 8. Instead of blaming him, the ordeal brings them closer together because she told him that mistakes were made by the both of them. She didn't blame Broadway. She educated him. This show was unreal. The majority of people woulda blamed Broadway and never looked back. It is known.
There's an episode in particular that I brought up to Ol' whatshisface yesterday.

I mean, Demona had no chill. I like Demona tho'. Xanatos' respect for his opponent was a case study in manipulation if I've ever seen one. He took the time to understand Goliath's strengths (Can I be so bold as to point out that Goliath isn't always a good leader? He got punked so many times on this show *laughs*) and weaknesses so that he knew which words would be the most effective in their interactions. Shit, that sounds like past me. Ugh, Jesus… Gross. Let that be a lesson to you kids: Don't let the TV raise your brats. They might grow up to be Xanatos.
*** I bought tickets to the Werq The World benefit Livestream concert (Hosted by Lady Bunny and Bianca Del Rio… Sidebar: Bianca won Season 6 of Drag Race) over the weekend. It was actually really good.

^See? I had a few things I would have changed here and there but that's just me being nitpicky. This was awesome. I invited Mo to watch with me. I ordered it for Yvie and Violet but stayed for the rest. Totally worth the price AND they made it so that you could tip. All the proceeds went to local queens who signed up because they're heavily effected by Miss Virus. I mean, drag queens depend on their gigs to maintain their way of life. I was proud to be able to support our community. I was making it rain like I was in a strip club.

^They only let you do a dollar at a time so I had to run my card several times. *shrugs* Eh… Totally worth it. Speaking of strippers, I wonder if strip clubs are gonna start doing the same… and you can tip through the phone. I mean, it's a wise concept. Pay for access then tip the ladies… They could do it from home!!! I should pitch this to our local strip industry *laughs* (Oops… Nvm. Sigrid just told me alot of girls are already doing this…)
*** And since I brought up Miss Virus, our head maintenance man (He traveled to all the stores. Not just ours) was found dead this morning. They said he'd been sick but if that was the case, why are they telling us to keep it to ourselves? This wouldn't even measure on my conspiracy theory meter were it not for the fact that last week we were informed that Ms. Marcia got tested for Miss Virus… Also supposed to be a secret. We saw her this morning and she did not look ready to be near the viewing public I'll tell ya that. She didn't even speak… So unlike her. Sigrid and Jalen got choked up over the maintenance man thing cuz they keep telling us stuff without details and telling us it's a secret… Without actually telling us anything.
*sighs* It's getting crazy in these streets...
