“There's no such thing as an even break. Your heart still carries fragments of the love, the voice, but mostly, them. You still carry them. Trust me on this. I travel the path everyday. It's a wound that never closes. A fire that always burns. A story that never seems to end.”

I forgot to mention that Sunday while David, Brittney and I were talking and they were trying to teach me how to smoke a cigarette, (Mind you, I suck at it… *laughs* I see no need to know something which I’ll never use. Sue me) I looked over and noticed Kyle reading my computer screen. Since I’d been writing both a journal entry and on my novel, I was wondering which it was. Cuz at one point, I noticed he was LOOKing at me oddly. So, would ya like to know what he was reading? I know it’s keeping y’all in stitches.
*drum roll*
He was reading from my novel!
Here’s the exact page…
"What is it? Coke?"
Aidan sighed as he watched Matiko rummage through his dresser. In the corner, he found a snipped off straw, a piece of paper, and an old prescription bottle.
"Answer me, Aidan! What was in here?"
"What do ya think, man? Pills."
"Pills." Matiko repeated the word, frowning at the bottle in his hand. "Pills." He read the label. "10 mg oxycodone. 650 mg acetaminophen. Percocets. You're snorting percocets?"
Aidan shrugged. "Taking them by mouth wasn't working anymore."
Needless to say, when he looked up, he had the strangest, most empty look on his face and yet, he said nothing. I dunno what he woulda said but, nothing pretty much covered it. And just as quick as the look flashed in his eyes, it was gone. Mind you, I hereby solemnly swear it wasn’t on purpose. I didn’t put that page up there purposely. I was editing then I got up cuz David asked me to follow him. Actually, I thought I’d clicked back to my LJ entry which was some drunken jabber involving cat pee. It was funny. Writing the cat pee thing, I mean. The look on Kyle’s face wasn’t so funny.
I wanted to ask him what he thought but, I was scared he would say it sucked and didn’t flow good. Some shit like that. The next time I see him, I’m gonna ask.
*laughs* No I won’t. I lie.
Besides, it might be looking at that caused a flash where he looked at himself for a couple seconds. Yea, it did kinda look like he’d seen a ghost.
