Yeah,sorry that I don't have much info in my blog, I created it recently and didn't know what to add x3 I'm planning to fix that soon.
About me: Currently I live in Canada, but I moved here four 1/2 years ago. So originally, I'm not Canadian. I was into Jap stuff before I came to Canada, so I guess that's what we have in common. I wouldn't call myself otaku, but I do really enjoy that stuff. Besides Jap culture I actually do have a lot of interests, but they change all the time, so I don't really do anything special. >_< What I really want is to travel and live in different countries for a few years. I'm planning to learn Japanese(don't know how serious it would get) and maybe go there for one year as an exchange student in university. I've also heard of that JET program (teaching english in Japan), so it also might be an option for me in the future, even though I cannot imagine myself being a teacher. Ughh....What else? Starting next year I should be going to university(if everything goes right and I'll be accepted). but really...i'm a typical weirdo who doesn't know what to do with her life or whatever she wants (travel and studying abroad) costs a lot of money.
Btw, long time ago, before I moved to Canada, I was planning to become vet, but when I moved I couldn't possibly do science in english...>_< But I think that's fine...I don't think I would turn out to be a good doctor. However, my dream is to have a dog, rabbit and chinchilla in my house..=DDD
Sorry for not responding so soon I was really busy during the last few days. Well if you want I can add you as a friend though I'm not sure how interresting that would be for you ^^;;; Really my lj's not very interresting ^^;;;
Traveling is good, the advantage of teaching in Japan is that you don,t always need to know Japanese but it's a great way to learn the language. It's really hard to get a job in Japan when you're Japanese level is low if it's not a teaching job. I applied to the JET program it's really a long process, I wasn't accepted but I never left that stop me so now I'm applied to job through gaijinpot.com And passed an interview last Monday.
Being a vet or even simple a technician for a vet is really hard. You need to be able to deal with people really well because you'll get assholes and super nice people, poor and rich, people that simply don't care much, other's that can't let do, other's are super emotional. You have to be able to euthanise an animal and also to handle the most disgusting cases (like one of our patient was covered in pus OMG the disgustingness!!!) I know I could never be a vet and I don't really want to be a tech ^^;;;
oh and to answer your question that you sent priately. I don't know when to get raw scans much. I look for them scanlated like on site such as onemanga.com
Is it really hard to get into JET program? Which part you didn't pass? (I'm not aware of all of them, I just know you have to write and essay and also to go through an interview) Why did you become vet tech in the first place if you don't like it?
About the lj...it's ok, I don't wanna push it ^^ So don't worry.
Well it's a really long process. I didn't pass the first screening. You need 3 letters of recommendation, an essay and to fill in this really long file. I don,t remember everything I did ^^;;
I'm not a vet tech. I'm a receptionist at a vet ^^;;; It's not that I don't like the job it's more that by seeing everything I realised there's a lot of things I think are really hard and that I would hate to do ^^;
it's not that I mind it's more that I don't really get it xDDDD I added you.
