Mitarashi Dango is your average otaku. He's a "loser", goes unnoticed by the world, couldn't get a girl if his life depended on it ("G-G-G-G Girls? I can only romance 2-D girls; I'm a failure with 3-D ones!"), and constantly fantasizes about meeting a girl just like Karuino Rei, his 100th videogame-girl.
But when a punk from his school breaks a figure of his precious Rei-tan, boy, do things change. He beats the crap out of the guy and then...
"Strenght like that of a devil, heart filled with love like Buddah... HE SHOULD BE OUR ERA'S LEADER!", some witness of his epic-ness decide.
And that, my friends, it's the start of Mitarashi Dango's curse. A cold, dangerous gang-leader to the world, an otaku at heart.
Will the poor guy get his precious Rei-tan? Or he'll be cursed to remain surrounded by his (loyal, but surely NOT cute) subordinates forever?.
