Drabble Meme - again; BMFM - Vinnie x Charley

Oct 15, 2010 13:51

I'm feeling better and more positive today about this whole doctor thing, so, I decided to do this meme again, and this time just for fun - meaning I didn't do it for character study or anything of that sort, and even managed to keep the drabbles themselves angst-free. :)

---

1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Put iTunes or equivalent media player on random.
3. For each song that plays, write something related to the theme you picked inspired by the song. You have only the time frame of the song: no planning beforehand: you start when it starts, and no lingering afterward; once the song is over, you stop writing. (No fair skipping songs either; you have to take what comes by chance!)
4. Do five of these, then post.

Biker Mice from Mars
Vincent van Wham x Charlene Davidson

Evacuate the Dance Floor - Cascada (3:30)

Charley always did have a hard time saying no to those otherworldly goons, especially one in particular. So, even if she'd put up a good enough fight, she hadn't been able to say no when Vinnie suggested they put some music on and just, as he so eloquently put it, “chill.”

Of course, their definitions of “chilling” were very different. Charley had assumed that would mean kicking back on the sofa and chatting it up, or maybe singing along to whatever eardrum shattering music they wound up coaxing out of her stereo system. Vinnie, on the other hand, never told her by “chilling” he meant crank up the music until coherent thought was a thing of the past, and a body couldn't help but move along to the thunderous beat.

So now, her chest was heaving against his and his tail was around her waist; her hands were on his shoulders and his were on her hips, and somewhere in the background, Modo and Throttle were cheering them on. Regardless of their goading, however, she would have ground her hips against his anyway before pulling away and leading him on yet another chase across the floor of her living room.

Disgusting - Ke$ha (4:19)

She was never one for love songs and fairytales. No, she was the girl who was always one of the boys, the one who preferred to get down and dirty and save herself, rather than be saved and come out unscathed.

So, now, as she finds herself caught in some alien trap time and time again, rendered momentarily helpless just long enough for her (ironically) self-proclaimed White Knight to arrive, she finds she's beginning to anticipate his arrival and the inevitable rescue.

And she hates that.

He isn't stripping her of her of her independence, giving her a Cinderella Syndrome, but he is filling her ribcage with butterflies and giving her a near-uncontrollable urge to kiss every scar hidden beneath snow-white fur and metal.

And maybe one day she will, but by then the butterflies will have died, and she'll stain his fur with motor oil when she pulls him closer, and it won't be as perfect as her dreams make it out to be. It won't be pretty and it won't be simple, but it will be real, and if she has to do this falling-in-love thing, she'll do it her way.

Honky Tonk Badonkadonk - Trace Adkins (4:02)

Charley had a way of surprising them, constantly. Almost as much as they so often surprised her, in fact. So, as surprising as it was to be coerced into wearing disguises to allow easier travel, they weren't complaining too much once they found themselves on one of her relative's ranches down in Nashville. Something about needing someone to watch it for a week or so and Charley was the only one reliable enough and... other things none of them had cared to really listen to.

Being out of a big city was nice, different, and riding horses proved be a lot more challenging than riding anything with an engine in it. This was also something Vinnie was determined to do, even if he it killed him - and Modo and Throttle were sure it would at the rate the stallion continued to buck him off.

“Sonofa - ” he cursed, brushing himself off and staring at the black horse a foot or so in front of him. “I'll getcha this time,” he promised himself as he went back to the animal, took hold of the reigns and mounted it again.

“At this rate, you're gonna knock the other side of your face off!” came Charley's call from a few feet away as she walked back toward the small house they were all occupying currently. Vinnie stared after her, the horse bucked, and he was introduced, once again, to the dirt.

“Oh, mama,” Modo groaned, laughing.

“What's your excuse this time?” Throttle asked, laughing as well.

“Did you see her ass in those jeans?” Vinnie asked, making no effort to get up off the ground; that denim she had on was definitely tighter than the pairs she wore around the garage back in Chicago.

Waking up in Vegas - Katy Perry (3:19)

“Shut up and put your money where your mouth is, sweetheart.”

That was the phrase that started it, that much she could remember. The rest was more or less a blurred memory of bright lights, bells, chimes, and warm fur and wandering hands. Now, as she stared groggy-eyed and hung-over at the gold band on her ring-finger, she had a feeling maybe she didn't want to remember the rest.

A sideways glance at the sleeping and very naked Martian beside her, and she quickly tore the ring from her finger. She searched the hotel room quickly for papers, confirmation of her worst fears, and slunk back on the bed with a relieved sigh when she found none.

But, still. If anybody asked, she'd never tell - and that included him. What happened in Vegas, stayed in Vegas, after all.

In My Head - Jason Derulo (3:21)

He has a habit of staring at her when she's not looking. Throttle's noticed this, and he's also noticed how the stare has changed over their time on earth and with the mechanic. At first, it was a curious stare, as though Vinnie had tried to understand her, but then it slowly turned into this dreamy, far-off gaze the white Martian was sporting now.

Sometimes Throttle wonders what he's thinking about Charley, because there are times when Vinnie's expression falls and he looks deadly serious, and then there are times when he grins to himself, now and then even chuckling. But, most of the time, Throttle doesn't have to wonder, because other parts of Vinnie speak loud and clear for him.

Like, now. There's a tent in Vinnie's pants that he's hardly trying to conceal. And it's times like this when Throttle really, really doesn't want to know what goes on in that brain of his.
