The first 10 people to comment in this post get a request that I write a drabble of any pair/character of their choosing. In return they have to post this in their journal, regardless of ability.

He remembers as a hatchling, watching the courting pairs of his clan skydance. He remembers the way they would twirl about each other, rise and fall, dip and dive, only to end tangled together.
It's disheartening to remember, because he would love nothing more than to show this wonderful human girl how he feels through a skydance. And, of course, humans can't fly, and to soar with her in his arms just wouldn't be the same. Not to mention, he doubts he could stay aloft for long if he had to hold her, considering the make of his wings.
He doesn't know who it is that tips her off, but he's grateful for it when she takes his hand one day, urges him to lead her to a place on the roof where they can be alone. He doesn't get to ask what she has in store; he no sooner takes a starting breath and she has a finger to his lips, hushing him.
There is no music as she leads him in a dance, and she giggles girlishly every time he stumbles, obviously not at all used to the way humans dance. But he learns fast, and soon he's leading her, and he dips her, lifts her, twirls her around as instinct tells him to do.
Somewhere during their dance, he forgets there's solid stone beneath his feet and completely understands that silly human saying, walking on air.
