...Well, "Lord of the Rings" sweeped the Oscars. Cool. I wonder if only non-devout fans saw it coming, because I was certainly took in by the pessimism following the last two years.
I only hope that it becomes clear that these awards also represent the other two as well, not just that the third that much better than the other two or such.

The other nominees were quite good as well. I saw all except for "Master and Commander" and really liked them all. Having actually been to Japan, I can confirm the truth behind a lot of what was seen in that movie. Wow, "Super Jockey" flashbacks... Ahem!

Other than that... eh, not much.

I've started book two of Red Mansions, which is an abysmally slow pace compared to Three Kingdoms, but there I had a small advantage of knowing who people like Pang Tong and Sima Yi were, as opposed to having to flip back and forth to double check who exactly is related to who. I am glad that the book has enough text hints that it is not horribly necessary.

Good book though. I'm really looking forward to finishing it so I can reflect on it in whole. I did see an article somewhere that suggested that Gao E did not write the last 40 chapters and that they were indeed composed by the original author. Thanks to that, I'm especially interested in getting there so I can see for myself. (As opposed to Three Kingdoms, where every new chapter around the end was just a death knoll for all the characters still breathing.)

However! La Pucelle (Tactics)'s official box art has been released. It is quite pretty, but no piece of official art that I have seen. The style, although similiar and with character details down to locks of hair, seems to suggest some other artist created it. Weird. But having seen a snipit of English screenshots I'm actually hopeful for the English release of this game. I sure hope it does well, I'm a big fan of La Pucelle, and what parts of it I saw tended to impact me much more than Disgaea (Excepting the Earth Defender chapter, which was just too good to be ignored.)

...Any~way... School tomorrow (technically, today). Homework tonight. 'Tis how it is.
