Went to a bridal show today with
kahmiel... it was a lot of fun. We figured out how to get my scooter out of the house and into her car so I didn't have to worry about standing for several hours. Also, excuse to bust out the shiny camera and get some practice in. :D
We get there and write down our info for some stuff and they give us both two tickets for free booze! Vodka and lemonade with optional fruit (strawberries and raspberries) - SO TASTY! We got to keep the mason jars.
They provided bags full of info on the vendors... lots of cards and such, and probably coupons. Also it was nice having the bag to put freebies in.
Plenty of free cake!
I wasn't very impressed with the dresses but I'm also HUUUUGELY picky about dresses. I'll probably end up making my own or commissioning some one.
So glad we got two drinks, hehe. They didn't pour all that strong, I couldn't taste the vodka AT ALL. But it was still super tasty so that's okay. :)
They had FAAANtastic caterers there. Haven't looked at prices yet, no idea if Will and I will use them, but they had exactly what we've talked about and it was all so very good.
Lots of random "LOSE WEIGHT YAY" things o_O But this drink intrigued me because they insisted it could help blood sugar which is admittedly a problem for me (I asked specifically about triglycerides and they said it would help so I might research it some more) ... also, very tasty.
Sooo many delicious cake samples!
I don't know if I'll ever make a "try dresses on!" appointment at any place, but... IDK they talked about how it comes with champagne and stuff so maybe.
We talked to a DJ that was advertising there. We asked him if anyone had ever requested he play "Rains of Castamere"... despite him being a Game of Thrones fan he didn't catch the reference. When we explained he essentially had this expression... I think we freaked him out a little. ;)
Hehe this tiny child got a massage and it was SO FREAKING CUTE! He apparently liked it because when it was over he started crying. Adorable kidlet. :D
Yeah. All in all... a very good day. We spent about 2 1/2 hours there, wandering and writing down our information for e-mails and deals and such. Entered some drawings. Enjoyed the samples and a couple of freebies.
I had a great time. :) Plenty of little things to discuss with Will when he gets home and we actually start sitting down and planning this thing.
