Let's see what I've been up to lately...

This past weekend was pretty jam packed.  Attended the Kalan Porter concert Saturday night.  Good crowd, bad sound system.  Kalan sounded great despite just getting over strep throat.  Loved all the instrumentals and when he morphed into the violin opening for Bittersweet Symphony, I squee'd hardcore.

I caught Kalan's show in Winnipeg on Wednesday--had an absolute blast! The guy has definitely loosened up on stage. He looked like he was really having fun, he looked great and healthy, his voice was gorgeous, and wow did I ever loooooove all the violin! Bittersweet Symphony was insane! One of the best parts of the evening was at the end while I was talking to him at the autograph line. I had mentioned how much I enjoyed his cover of Where The Streets Have No Name, (seriously, I totally always cringe when bands/singers attempt to cover U2, expecting them to mangle it, but Kalan and band did a really fine job) and that must have triggered a memory because he told me he remembered me from the meet&greet years ago at the hockey game! I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing... *grin*

That is so awesome he remembers you!! I wish I had told him how much I loved "Bittersweet Symphony" but you know how it goes, one look from him and the brain stops functioning.
