for a brief moment, the CDN > USD
The big news around these parts today is the fact, for a brief moment yesterday, the Canadian dollar was worth MORE than the US dollar. Granted it was only worth more by $0.0008 but still. And today, for the most part, we are at parity. The last time this happened was back in 1976.
Of course, my dad is now cursing cause he works in the States and then transfers the money back here. With our high dollar, he's been "losing" on the exchange and he's not too happy about it.
It would be sweet if this continues to at least early November when I head to Chicago. I have this sudden urge to do some cross-border on-line shopping now. =)
Now, if we can only get parity with the British pound. *afraid to calculate the cost of next year's UK trip*
