I was thinking it looked awfully crowded there - makes sense now. The buildings are all so huge and impressive. I really love your Venice pictures. Does the water smell? On old boss visited years and years ago and that was his comment on it.

Another downside of travelling in July is the amount of tourists. SO MANY PEOPLE. There were lines for everything! In Florence, we decided to get a city pass and even though we calculated that we probably overspent about 12 euros, it was totally worth it cause we skipped so many lines.
