I watched the ER finale too. It was nice to see the old-timers back, and I liked the way it was separate from the "new" cast still taking care of ER business. I thought Alexis Bledel did a good job as the representation of the new puppy docs. Called my mom sniffling at the commercial break, right after Sam's character did.

Noah Wyle doesn't look so great after 15 years. I probably don't either, but thank God I'm not on video. Sherry Stringfield looked fabulous- better than her return to the show a few years ago. There's hope for me yet.

ITA except I think Noah Wyle looks pretty good :) I loved that tiny scene with Dr Lewis chatting it up with one of the nurses. Amazing how some of the nurses/staff have been there for the entire run. They should've had some time given to them during the retrospective.

I just finished watching the ER finale, like you I haven't watched this in over 7 years (just a few sporadic episodes) but that ending... with the theme music and the pan out had me crying too =(

I know- and I did the set tour at the WB years ago and saw those fake El tracks and I got all nostalgic.

The theme music. I can't believe it wasn't part of the 100 TV Themes compilation I d/l'd. I so want it now.

I was reading TWoP and supposedly they used the original opening credits or something? I totally missed that!

I also admit that Castiel (I hate it when Dean calls him "Cas", it sounds so stupid to me) doing the whole "wink wink nudge nudge" thing was pretty funny. We also FINALLY get to hear some of Sam's thoughts about the whole mytharc.

CAS -- I despise this.

And the first ten minutes were epic! I'm waiting for the wank!

But gah, it's going to be a mess, isn't it?

I love how we think alike :)

On the whole, most of the reaction I've read loved it. There were a few posts saying how they felt they were being made of/mocked for their slash/meta ways. All I have to say to that is "lighten up".

They're going for the brother vs brother ending, I just know it.

The show cracked me up so bad. I had to pause watching it because I was laughing so damn hard at the beginning. I LOVE that they poked fun at the fans. So freaking awesome.

Never watched ER, ever.

That whole exchange about DeanGirls and SamGirls and slash, I was DYING.

Really? Never watched a single ep of ER? Oh, it was sooooo good back in the day.

Nope, never. It started back when I was in my "I will never ever watch an hour long drama show" period. I know, crazy, huh? Clearly I'm over that as that is just about all I watch now.
