Gdansk!
Ok, we're in Gdansk, Poland right now. If I mess up the typing, it'z cuz I'm on a 700 year old computer. It actually is running like windows 95 or someshit. This keyboard has seen better days.
ANYWAY... the weather hear is crazy. It's total split personality disorder (not schitzo, that doesn't mean split personality you know ). For instance, it's completely normal for the sun to be shining like it's life depends on it, while at the same time it's pouring rain. THis is completely normal and happens all day. So sunny it's blinding, and the only thing keeping you from squinting is the giant umbrella over your head. Nuts. Right now it's a noah style outside so we ducked in here to say hi. Since these are 1990's compy's though, no pix for today. Maybe in prague.
Ok, so here's a funny story... I got hit in the face with a candy bar!! We're sitting on our train, on the way to Gdansk, we're about 2 hours into the ride, I'm looking out the window at the cows and sheep and chickens all over the place... we roll through a train station, and they kind of slow down thru the stations, so as not to buzz people on the platform i imagine... so we roll thru, and some idiot kid reaches up and throws his huge candybar in our train window!!!!!! Wrapper and all! We were going at a good clip still, so the thing flys in the window and jacks me right in the cheek!! I was like, what in the hell just happened! I just got hit in the face with a freakin candybar?!?! We laughed about it for a good half an hour, it was just so RANDOM!! I just kept saying i was glad it wasnt like a soda or an icecream cone or something. That would have been a huge mess or really hurt! What an idiot.
So, to summarize, I have been tapped by the drug dog, and hit in the face with a candy bar, on both of our travel days so far. Cant wait to see what tomorrow's travel entails.
Anyway, tomorrow we are off to Prague by plane. Gdansk is gorgeous but it's proximity to the sea is havoc on the weather. I have given up trying to straighten my hair and have given in fully to the curls. CJ laughs at me periodically and says I look like a cute little polish girl. We also go back and forth about who built this city, my people or his people. All the names of the architects are german, so I said that's why we kept taking it back from his people. We built it, it's pretty, we wanted it back. :)
Last night we ducked into a little bar called "Punkt". It was a total little underground type place. Very dark and shabby, artsy, insense burning, verymuch like the places sue and I sought out when we were in europe in 2000. Seemed like a place the arty kids and backpackers would hang out. I'm trying to think of an equivalent in Milwaukee but i cant really. maybe like Foundation, only rattier. Anyway, we got pretty plowed. We drank Zubruwka [Zo-broof-ka] vodka, straight, no rocks, with a dash of apple juice. THat's how they drink it here, and let me tell you, it's freakin GENIUS!!! Something about the applejuice just smoothes out the vodka taste entirely. You can really get in trouble with that stuff, because it tastes so easy and so good. And we did, we stumbled our fool selves home at about 1:30 and it was quite a mess. Very fun tho. Bartek the bartender was awesome. We're trying to get him to come to milwaukee and bartend for a summer. heh heh. We're going back there tonight i think.
So anyway, yeah, so far a lot of rain, a lot of pigeons, and a bit of wastedness.
Love all y'all, thanks for loving on the meows, meowtenders. Hope you're enjoying your fantastic warm weather, cuz right now i have on a winter coat, scarf, tights under my jeans, and an umbrella. But I'm in Poland and you're not. Nya!

And answer your dang phones!! I spent 8 bucks leaving a series of bitter voice mail messages on Monday!! LOL. I understand though, it's sunny and memorial day weekend, I cant expect you to be waitin by the phones.
