On Saturday, Darren and I move back in with my parents. The school have put me down to part time from September, and made my technician job obsolete. So I'll just be teaching Art and Photography, and they've agreed to pay me for an extra after school club just as they have done this year. It still means that I'm down by about £3,500 when I wasn't earning very much to begin with. I'm now just barely better off than I was at the cinema. But what can you do?
We've been fucked about right, left and centre by the letting agent, also, so I really can't wait to wash my hands of that one. I received a text message yesterday, at 9:45am informing me that she was bringing someone to view the flat at 1:45 and not to worry if we weren't in because she has a key. They're contractually obliged to give at least 24 hours' notice before doing that and should NEVER be requesting that they enter the property without one of us present. This is at least the fifth time she's done the latter (and never once been granted might I add.) So I rang the landlord and gave out to him. I also mentioned that we're not happy that she's advertised the property available from the 4th July when we're paid up to August 6th. If somebody moves in before then, we're apparently entitled to a refund for the time concerned but she seems to think it's perfectly normal to get double the rent. And she'd told the landlord that we'd only paid five months of our six month contract so I'm guessing she was planning on pocketing the deposit that we'd agreed to forfeit for the final month.
Ridiculous.
Anyway. Time for a video:
