yesterday and today
just want to start off saying i'm really bad at updating this thing. well yesterday was pretty awesome. i am so in love with josh and i fall in love with him more every day. we had a lovely day in the park with willow. with a bottle of three philosophers, hummus and pitas we enjoyed the nice cool breeze and blue skies. we took lots of pictures and i posted them on facebook for your viewing pleasure. we also ran into some friends of mine, so we paid a nice hello to them.
now i'm at work listening to pandora and finishing up my dunkin donuts coffee. i was talking to a fellow co-worker of mine when a song kind of caught me off gaurd. i knew i recognized it and it hit me a in place that brought back a lot of memories, but they were not happy memories. it was rilo kiley "pictures of success." when i was a junior in high school, my good friend dave died suddenly in a car crash. when my friends went to visit his house shortly after, they were going through his things and noticed the last song to play on his laptop was "pictures of success." the chilling thing about this is, the chorus goes: "when you're dead in hospitals and freeways, when you're dead in resting homes and clinics, when you're dead it must be nice to finish, when you're dead." and also knowing its the last song he listened to on his laptop is just a sad thing to know i guess.
on a much happier note, i get to see lindsey face on friday! josh and i are going to make a day of it..we're going to hang in nyc in the morning, maybe go to the moma or something. then when lindsey lands, she can meet josh, then he's going to explore the city on his bicycle while lindsey and i have coffee/tea time :) i'm very excited! i hope these plans all work out well!
