The one real thing that gets me away from reality and life is a vacation. It's a total break from the crazy going on all around. Getting out of town is really the only way to find a complete escape. I know I've said in the past that I'm just going to do absolutely nothing for a day or a weekend but eventually end up getting sucked back into parts of the daily routine. Kind of defeats the purpose, wouldn't you think?
It's been so long since I took a real vacation, that I'm having a little trouble remembering what happened. When I lived with Aunt May and Uncle Ben, we used to do a couple of days during the summer vacation sort of thing. Not much, but I think they enjoyed the going away as much or more than Peter and I did. Once we went to Niagra Falls which was simply beautiful. We did the all the usual touristy things and I really wouldn't have had it any other way. Peter was so adorable in his yellow rain coat that didn't do hardly any good at all.
We did the group shot of standing with one leg in the United States and the other in Canada. Being in two places at once is pretty cool if you ask me.
Anyway, not much other than the day to day things going on these days, but personally I think it's time for another vacation if I do say so myself. We haven't decided on where yet, but Harry and I are planning a little trip probably in about a week or so. He's asked where I'd like to go but honestly, I'm perfecty fine with leaving the destination up to him since he's the travel wizard anyway. Whatever we do and where ever we go, I'm sure it'll be a blast.
Reality and life will be waiting when we get back I'm sure.
