>Part 1< “You seem deep in thought.” Jinki tilted his head and leaned close to Kibum. Kibum yelped and leaned back quickly, almost toppling their food over. Jinki’s eyes widened but he laughed good-naturedly and moved the bowl full of soup away from Kibum. “Sorry, did I scare you?”
“I’m just...thinking about lyrics.” Kibum admitted and immediately lifted his bowl and blew at the soup. Jinki was still looking at him so he immediately started downed it, despite it burning his tongue.
Jinki winced as Kibum set it down and he tried not to obviously fan at his mouth. “Okay? What’s the song about?”
Kibum wiped his mouth and managed a weak response, “Uh...love? I don’t know, I’m writing it with one of my bandmates and I’m still trying to figure it out.” It wasn’t a complete lie, but it definitely wasn’t what Kibum was thinking about at the moment.
“Oh? That reminds me, one time I--” Jinki’s words fell to deaf ears. Kibum was looking straight at him, and nodding sincerely, but he couldn’t focus. He couldn’t hear a damn thing, all he could see is bright eyes, pretty fluttering eyelashes and equally as pretty lips and small hands with chubby fingers that moved with enthusiasm.
Fuck. Jonghyun and Minho were right. Now that he had this crush he didn’t know what to do about it. Jinki was too hard to figure out because Kibum didn’t know if his blatant flirting was working or not. Kibum was sure that he was getting so obvious, but Jinki would just laugh everything off.
How blunt did he have to be?
But then again, could he even afford having a crush right now? If it were to develop in to anything more, he didn’t know how Jinki would feel about it--and starting a new relationship when his new album was going to release soon didn’t seem smart. He was going to be so busy…
But…
Kibum looked back up at Jinki who smiled at him, cheeks filled with food. Kibum couldn’t help but smile back, his heart thumping a little. He can’t help it…
---
There is a bad side to having a crush on Jinki though. He was spending hundreds just to fly to Korea frequently, which cut in to his shopping budget. And he was extremely jet lagged all the time, he's adjusted to time in Korea and sleeps through the day and is awake at night talking to Jinki. He sleeps for hours and hours at home and even misses some recording sessions.
“You know, normal people relax by going out to watch a movie or something. But you go fly out to Korea every weekend? Why?”
“Don't judge me.” Kibum dropped another t-shirt in his bag. “I just miss family.”
“Uh huh.” Jonghyun's smirk grew, “Jinki is already your family?” He made obnoxious kissing noises.
---
One day Kibum was forced to stay at his grandpa’s house all day as requested by Jinki. Apparently he was preparing a surprise and he didn’t want Kibum to see it. It wasn’t until night time when Jinki called him over.
Once Kibum got to the flower shop, the first thing he noticed was how cute Jinki looked. He dressed up a little for some reason, Kibum smirked, “Did you brush your hair today?” he teased.
Jinki rolled his eyes, “Come on, it’s upstairs.” Kibum followed Jinki up the stairs, and instead of walking in to Jinki’s apartment, they continued all the way up to the rooftop. Jinki grinned, “Close your eyes.”
Kibum frowned but complied and Jinki put a hand over his eyes for good measure, and opened the door. He held on to Kibum’s hand and led him out on to the rooftop. “Okay, you can open them.”
Kibum’s eyes fluttered open and he looked around. The rooftop was decorated in flowers, and fairy lights were strung around. There was a plastic table and two chairs and a rug with a microphone and speakers on it. Jinki's radio was also there, and a banner that read 'KEY' was hanging loosely above the little makeshift stage.
“What is all of this?”
“It's your concert.” Jinki explains, he tugged on Kibum's hand again and led him towards the middle. He
gestured towards the lone microphone on the makeshift stage. The fairy lights were twinkling and Kibum swallowed the lump in his throat. It was so ridiculously cheesy, and he wrinkled his nose in distaste, but that lasted about .5 seconds before he smiled. Jinki smiled too. “Do you like it?”
“Yeah,” Kibum managed, a weird fluttering feeling in his belly as he looked at Jinki. “But I don't know if I can sing right now.”
“It doesn't have to be anything serious, it's just me.”
“I know....” Kibum drew out his words nervously, “But it's weird.”
Jinki frowned, disappointment clear in his features, but it was quickly replaced with a look of determination.
“Fine, then you don't have to. I will.” Jinki let go of his hand and Kibum watched as he marched over to the plastic table. He popped open a can of beer and downed a good amount of it and wiped at his mouth before he went to his radio.
Kibum took a seat by the table, opening a beer of his own, curious on to what Jinki would do.
Jinki slid a CD inside his radio and pressed play. Trot music immediately started playing and Jinki rushed to the microphone. Kibum snorted, Of course. but he watched with intent anyways as Jinki bit his lower lip, holding his microphone with two hands and swaying along to the opening music.
Jinki cleared his throat and suddenly grabbed the microphone off the stand and the music's beat got quicker. He immediately started singing deeply and Kibum's eyes widened before he burst out in loud laughter.
“Okay, okay. Give me that, let me show you how it's done.” Jinki was more than happy to pass Kibum the microphone and take a seat right in front of him.
Kibum pushed his hair back and cleared his throat. “Music.”
“Oh,” Jinki grumbled as he got up and went to go switch it on.
As soon as he turned around, Kibum's demeanor immediately changed. Jinki sat down automatically, encaptured when Kibum started singing.
It took a minute, but Kibum fully got into the song. He hit all the high notes, he pointed in to the crowd (which only consisted of Jinki) and had this really cute grin on his face as he sang.
Kibum sang the final line and threw his head back, raising his arms. Jinki cheered loudly and clapped.
“Thank you, thank you.” Kibum bowed and straightened up, still grinning. “I'm gonna sing until I can't anymore.”
Jinki got up and cheered louder, dancing around. Kibum laughed watching him, “Shh, you're going to wake the whole town up!”
“It's a concert!” Jinki pointed out carelessly. “Let them hear, right?”
That made Kibum smile. “Come here, let's sing the next one together.”
Despite it being only the two of them, they had a fun time. Blasting the music on the rooftop, disturbing the otherwise quiet town. They drank and ate snacks and couldn't stop laughing and dancing.
They ended one song singing for each other. The song was long over but they kept staring at each other for some reason. The banner fell on top of their heads, interrupting their sudden staring contest. Jinki sighed and pulled it off, blushing. “I guess it's time to call it a night, huh?”
“Yeah.” Kibum agreed roughly, “I think I drank too much...” He didn’t have more than a couple of sips. He fanned his own reddened face before he walked away to start cleaning up.
After cleaning up, they were walking down the staircase in silence. Kibum glanced at Jinki to see that he was a little off, constantly fiddling with the banner and he kept avoiding eye contact.
They made it to the door but Kibum stopped Jinki from opening it. He set down the speaker he was holding and rubbed his arms before looking at Jinki with narrowed eyes.
“What's wrong?”
“Nothing...?” Jinki wasn't looking at him, but Kibum was both stubborn and persistent, so he moved right in front of him.
“Well, you're not looking at me.” Kibum points out, leaning forward closely. Jinki frowned. “I'm not moving until you look at me,” he sang.
Jinki finally met his eyes. “What…?”
“Just..thanks for tonight.” Kibum smiled, leaning in a little. “I feel like I should repay you.”
“For what? I didn’t do much. It was fun, right?” Jinki smiled nervously, Kibum was so close. Kibum just nodded. They went quiet again.
“Jinki…” Kibum murmured, a little unsure. “Can I kiss you?”
Jinki’s heart was pounding loud in his ears as soon as those words left Kibum. He was sure he was dreaming, or maybe he had heard Kibum wrong. But that didn’t stop him from whispering a soft, “yes.”
Kibum’s hands cupped Jinki’s face gently and Jinki’s eyes fluttered close. Kibum leaned in closer and Jinki could feel his warm breath, his lips parting once he was close enough. Their noses bumped together first, and then Kibum’s lips were on his, just as warm and soft as they looked.
Jinki dropped the banner and took a step forward, wrapping his arms around Kibum's neck as they kissed. Kibum held on to his waist, pulling him in close.
Kibum was an amazing kisser, Jinki couldn’t remember how long they were there for, only that his head was spinning the entire time. Eventually they parted, both breathless. Kibum gave Jinki a small smile, and Jinki laughed shyly.
“Well, I think we should get off of the stairs and continue this inside.” Kibum suggested and Jinki agreed and as soon as everything was cleaned up, they went back to Jinki’s apartment.
They didn’t do much, they kissed a little more and Jinki ended up falling asleep in Kibum’s arms. He woke up the next morning alone, believing it to be a dream, but he saw a note left from Kibum. The younger man wrote that he needed to take a flight back home, but that he was really excited for the next time he could come back.
Jinki took it in and was completely silent. He kissed Key. Jinki immediately started running around his apartment in panic.
Jinki was on edge all day. He didn’t even have a distraction since he didn't have to work today. Jinki had all this free time that he spent pacing around his room and constantly checking the internet to see if anyone got a picture of him and Kibum last night night. He knew that absolutely no one could have seen, but he was freaking out. What if Kibum got in a scandal or something? All of these horror stories he heard of people losing jobs because of dating were flowing through his head.
Kibum messaged him from time to time throughout the week and Jinki could only give him awkward responses. They didn't talk about kissing but Kibum mentioned that he would be coming back any day now and Jinki didn't know what to expect.
Jinki finally calmed down enough by Friday. He reasoned with himself that Kibum could have just been in the moment and it could have been all one huge mistake. They would laugh about it and never talk about it again, right?
Jinki’s doorbell rang later that night, he had just finished his dinner and he went over to the door. He opened it cautiously and his heart immediately sped up in his chest as he saw Kibum on the other side. So much for being calm. It wasn’t helping that Kibum looked especially good today, his hair wasn’t styled, his bangs were down and he was wearing a loose white t-shirt and tight ripped jeans with these heeled boots.
“Hey.” Kibum straightened up and Jinki nodded as a greeting, he couldn’t find it in himself to speak and he played with a loose string on his cardigan. “Um, can I come in?"
"Oh! Yeah, sorry, come in." Jinki stepped back and let Kibum in. He closed the door behind them and they walked further inside.
“We can just go in my room.” Jinki suggested.
Kibum easily made himself comfortable by sitting down on one of the flat pillows by Jinki’s low coffee table that was situated next to a television. Jinki, however, remained by the door.
“Do you want anything to drink? I’m thirsty.” Jinki said.
“Uh, sure.” Kibum didn’t think it was necessary, but maybe it could give him a little time to collect his own thoughts.
Jinki nodded and left, then Kibum looked around.
Jinki had a small shelf with a bunch of CDs and his small yellow radio on top of it, it was on and it flowed music softly. Something old that Kibum couldn’t recognize. He had a tiny bed against the window and his desk was flowing with books and papers and he had a bulletin board right above it with adorable pictures of him and his friends and family and notes written on sticky notes in his neat handwriting. Kibum caught sight of a photo of himself with Jinki. It brought a smile to his face remembering it.
The door slid open and Jinki brought in two juice boxes. Kibum’s lips curved up but he didn’t laugh when Jinki handed him one. Jinki settled down next to him on the pillow beside his tiny table and Kibum eyed him as he sipped at his drink.
Jinki wasn’t looking at him though, he was having trouble poking the tiny straw in to his drink out of nervousness and Kibum slurped at his drink just so Jinki would look his way.
Jinki gave up on the straw and set everything down. “Did you have practice yesterday?” He asked.
Kibum pursed his lips. “Yeah…”
“Oh, how was it--”
“Jinki, can we not do this?”
“Okay.” Jinki sighed. “What did you want to talk about?”
“The other night…” Kibum began softly and even though Jinki knew it was coming, he still felt his stomach flip. “Are we okay?”
“Yeah…?” Jinki managed a smile. “Why wouldn’t we be?”
“So you just want to ignore it and pretend we didn’t kiss?”
Jinki didn’t have an answer for him and he just stared at Kibum helplessly. What could he say?
“Listen, I like you. What happened last night? When we kissed? I’ve been having legit daydreams of that for weeks. It was driving me absolutely insane.” Kibum blurted out, “It was amazing to me...but I guess I read the signals wrong…”
“No.” Jinki immediately blurted out then hurried to explain. “I..” he swallowed and the tips of his ears turned red as he fumbled with what he should say, “You weren’t wrong, I like you too...I’m just...I can’t understand why someone like you would kiss me.”
“Someone like me?”
“You’re Key…” Jinki answered and made a motion with his hands. “Famous, a star… Someone like you should be dating someone equally as talented.”
“I am Key, but before that I’m still Kim Kibum. Besides, you are talented, just because you haven’t sang in concerts or produced albums, it doesn’t mean you’re any less.” Jinki stayed silent so Kibum continued, voice softening, “If you like me too, what’s the problem?"
“There’s a lot of problems…” Jinki insisted. “Our lives are in different places, you're famous, so whoever you date is thousands of people’s business as well...plus how can I fit in to your crazy life?”
“You’re right…” Kibum responded, “But I’m fine with it. It’ll be hard, I know, but...we don’t have to reveal anything, and if we do, I already did come out to my fans a couple of years back. It won’t be that much of a shock…”
Jinki just stared at him wordlessly as he took it all in, “I can’t believe you’re so relaxed about this.” He said after a beat.
Kibum laughed. “Really Jinki, it’s your call.”
“Are you sure this is what you want…?” Jinki asked in a quiet voice.
“Yes.” Kibum said with wide eyes as if he couldn’t believe Jinki was asking the question, “Is this what you want?” He gestured to himself and smiled cheekily. “I know, it’s a lot to handle.”
Jinki tried to stay serious but his facade broke and he finally laughed and looked down before meeting Kibum’s eyes, “Come here.” Kibum complied and scooted closer to Jinki.
Kibum’s hands settled over Jinki’s folded hands, they were shaking slightly on his lap. He intertwined their fingers and rubbed his knuckles with his thumbs. “Are you okay?”
“I’m really overwhelmed.” Jinki admitted quietly, that was an understatement, his head was still spinning, but Kibum’s comfort and words were helping his mind clear up a bit. “It’s just scary, if we ever do reveal this...I don’t know about having my life out there for so many people to know about.”
“Look at me.” Kibum cupped Jinki’s cheeks and Jinki blinked up at him, expression still stressed. “We don’t have to tell anyone, or do anything that makes you uncomfortable. I know it’s a lot, so we can just take it slow.” He promised quietly. “And I’ll brag about you to my friends and family whenever you’re ready.” He added. Jinki smiled at that, face warming.
Jinki leaned forward and pressed his face against Kibum’s chest and inhaled sharply, then exhaled. Maybe it is finally time to take a chance for once. “Okay.” he breathed shakily, soft voice muffled against Kibum’s top.
“Okay?”
“Yeah...let’s just take it slow.” Jinki nodded against his chest and Kibum cheered and wrapped his arms around Jinki tightly.
---
“Ugh, I can finally relax.” Jinki sighed later that night, they were cuddled up on Jinki’s couch. Kibum smiled and Jinki flushed. “What?”
“I just can’t believe I’m dating the Lee Jinki.”
“Oh shut up.”
“And his lips are perfect.” Kibum sighed to himself. Jinki flicked his forehead lightly.
---
Kibum had to return home almost immediately the next day, but saying goodbye this time around wasn’t so bad. Instead of wishing he could kiss Jinki goodbye, he actually went for it then spun him around a couple of times and he left by walking backwards, waving excitedly.
"Be safe!" Jinki waved with both hands, walking all the way up the pathway to watch Kibum leave.
Dating was interesting, it was not much different than them hanging out like they were for the past few months, but the slight shift in their relationship made everything so much more better between them. Their phone calls were more frequent and heartfelt, the way they looked at each other was different (or maybe it was the same the entire time, but now they knew what it meant), and they went on secret dates around the town. However, they only went out late at night to protect their privacy better.
Jonghyun and Minho noticed a huge change in Kibum. During practice he was constantly full of energy, headbanging and hitting all the high notes during the songs then he would dance in place and show them pictures of Jinki. Jonghyun was bitter and Minho was annoyed, but nonetheless, they were happy for him. A happy Kibum easily beats a whiny sad Kibum.
Jinki changed as well and people noticed. A lot of the customers and the grandmas around the town said he looked happier, and he felt it too.
Like Kibum promised, they didn’t rush anything. Nothing too major changed between them now that they were official, it was comfortable for the both of them.
They were at Jinki’s place late at night. Jinki was sitting with a book and Kibum laid right in front of him, guitar draped on his lap and he was shamelessly staring at Jinki, fingers automatically strumming at the guitar strings lazily. Jinki was trying not to look back and stay oblivious, but it was hard. Kibum’s stare is intense.
Jinki finally pushed his glasses up and looked at Kibum, who smiled in response. Jinki bit his lip to keep from smiling too, he had to be serious. “I can’t focus on this if you keep doing that….” he scolded lightly.
“What am I doing?” Kibum said, voice low, teasing almost.
“You keep looking at me? It’s distracting.”
“If anything you’re the one distracting me.” Kibum began, tilting his head.
“How?” Jinki challenged.
“Do you want a list?” Kibum asked, sitting up. Jinki raised an eyebrow and Kibum set down his guitar before moving towards Jinki. “First, these.” He took off Jinki’s glasses, “Do you want to kill me?”
“You caught me.” Jinki smiled softly and Kibum didn’t hesitate to lean in all the way and peck him lightly. But he kept on moving until Jinki was on his back and he was in between his legs, all while continuing to kiss.
Kibum’s lips eventually strayed to his jaw, then his neck. A loud buzz from Kibum’s back pocket interrupted them. Kibum cursed, “I’m sorry…” he looked up at Jinki.
Jinki whined softly and tugged Kibum closer. Kibum sighed, “Jinki…” he murmured. Jinki eventually loosened his arms and Kibum pecked his cheek a couple of times, “Give me just a second, okay?” He turned away, then pulled out his phone and pressed it against his ear. “Hey! Is it done?--” Kibum’s words faded off as he stepped outside on to the porch and Jinki watched helplessly before plopping back down on the couch.
Of course, when dating a rockstar came compromise. Jinki thought as he nodded to himself. That, and a lot of patience. Whenever Jinki was on the phone with Kibum now he made sure to be alone and whenever they were together they found themselves being more secretive about where they went. It was unconventional and hard, but gradually they got used to it, in the end they were having fun and that is all that matters.
---
“You know, since my album releases soon I’ll start getting more schedules and stuff.” Kibum explains. “I don’t know if I can fly over here as often.”
“I know. It’s okay, we can just call each other.”
“You’re okay with it?”
Jinki nodded firmly. “I have to be if I’m dating Key.”
Kibum frowned, "You're too kind, you know that? I feel bad."
"Don't feel bad, it's your job." Jinki insisted. "Besides, I know how hard you've been working on this, you're dying to get back on stage." He poked Kibum's cheeks until the younger man was smiling. Kibum grinned and tackled Jinki on to the bed.
---
“So I take it saying goodbye to Jinki went well?” Minho laughed, gesturing to the marks on Kibum’s neck that the other man was dabbing with concealer.
“Shut up.” Kibum hissed, but he was smiling anyway. He put away his makeup bag then fell back onto one of the couches. “I’m tired.” He managed, face scrunching up and mouth opening wide as a yawn escaped him.
“Well yeah, you take a thirteen hour plane ride every other week now.” Minho points out with wide eyes, “You’re fucking crazy, you know that?”
Kibum grunted, the couch in the waiting room is too comfortable and he felt himself falling asleep. “It’s worth it.” he smiled before turning around to curl in to the couch cushion.
“I’m jealous.” Jonghyun whined.
---
Kibum was overloaded with work, he wanted to make sure this album was perfect so he stayed at the studio until very late at night, and got little to no sleep preparing for it. He was so busy that he could only manage to speak to Jinki a couple of minutes every day, but the older man didn't get angry or anything, but instead encouraged Kibum to get him through these sleepless weeks.
And then finally, it was time.
“I saw your Instagram post.”
Kibum thought back to the last thing he posted. It was a box filled with his brand new albums, all shiny and new and to be released tomorrow afternoon. “Did you?” he set his phone down, leaving Jinki on speaker as he posed in front of his mirror, eyebrows furrowed as he analyzed his outfit.
He was preparing for the little album release party slash showcase in a couple of hours, around 5000 fans were invited by a lottery system. He felt nothing but excitement building up in his belly, after months of hard work, this was finally it.
“Yes! I’m so nervous for some reason…” Jinki exclaimed and Kibum came back over to his dresser and tilted his phone up to see Jinki biting his lower lip, he laughed.
“Hey, promise not to listen to it yet. I want to be there with you when you first hear it.” Kibum murmured, running his long fingers over his different colognes. He picked up one he received as a gift from some well-known company and sprayed it over his collarbones and wrists.
Jinki groaned, “Okay…” he answered, slightly distracted as he watched Kibum fix his hair. Kibum’s lips were parted in concentration as he styled his hair, middle-parted with his wavy bangs messy, framing his face. He looked great, from his dark eyeliner to the dangling earrings he was wearing, and he was only in a white dress shirt and pants from what Jinki could see. Jinki’s heart fluttered at the sight and he wished he were there, he always did wonder what Kibum was like in his own space.
Eventually Kibum did have to go, and they hung up with Jinki saying many encouragements and Kibum puckered his lips at the screen before leaving. Jinki did agree to not listening to the album, but he still had his laptop stream on to watch Kibum’s showcase. It’s not the same, right?
Jinki was reading comments as he waited for it to begin, from what he could understand, they seemed to be very positive. Jinki has been extremely nervous over this, but the fans set his heart at ease.
The showcase finally began with a bang, Kibum appeared as soon as the loud music began, Jonghyun and Minho behind him at their instruments. Kibum stood out the most as always, his voice loud and clear as he sang, dancing around the stage and hyping the crowd up.
Jinki was glued to his screen, watching his boyfriend's fluid movements, he truly owned the stage once he was on it. Jinki has watched Kibum perform many times on video, but he seemed to get better and better each time. Kibum finished his first two songs flawlessly, the fans were really loud and he just laughed breathlessly in to his microphone, waving at them.
Kibum was actually shining, Jinki couldn't imagine how it must be to be sitting in the crowd and watching him. Unfortunately, it ended way too quickly but Kibum took his sweet time saying goodbye to his fans before he left the stage. The stream ended and Jinki wanted nothing more than to call Kibum and tell him how amazing he did, but the flower shop needed to be opened soon.
All day Jinki had been thinking about Kibum, the younger man was unreachable which was understandable. "I just hope he's getting rest." Jinki sighed as he flipped the flower shop sign to close.
He went up to his apartment to eat dinner and lounged around until about midnight, when he was going to sleep.
But his doorbell rang as soon as he finished putting on his pajamas, and he frowned and made his way over to the door. He pulled it open and his eyes widened once he saw Kibum. He was still in his stage outfit, makeup still on as well (a little smeared, but the imperfections only added to his beauty) and he was immediately pulling Jinki in to a hug.
"Oh my god, what are you doing here?" Jinki asked, voice muffled against Kibum's shirt. But he was hugging his boyfriend back tightly, grinning. "Your album releases tomorrow."
"I know, I shouldn't be here but it feels like it's been years since I last saw you." Kibum explained tiredly. "I wanted to spend some time with you before everything starts and it’ll become rare..."
Jinki felt his heart drop a little at that, even though it was to be expected. He couldn't even imagine Kibum's crazy schedule. "I have to leave in the morning, but...I did promise that we can listen to my album together." Kibum continued.
Jinki finally pulled away from the hug and smiled as he closed the door. "I can't wait to hear it, the songs sounded good at the showcase."
"You streamed it? What a true fan." Kibum laughed and Jinki nudged him. They went in to Jinki's room and Jinki sat as he watched Kibum insert the CD in Jinki's radio. Kibum then sat next to Jinki on the bed and wrapped an arm around his shoulders, swaying them together once the music started.
Jinki recognized most of the songs already so he couldn't pay much attention to them, instead he leaned against Kibum and listened to the younger man singing along quietly. His voice was a little rough and low from singing and his fatigue, Jinki just wanted to give him some tea and wrap him up in a blanket and let him sleep for as long as he wanted.
The CD ended and Jinki clapped. "It sounds like a hit." Jinki commented and Kibum smiled before taking it out of the radio and he put it back in the album. He set it on Jinki's desk.
"You get the first copy." Kibum grinned and went back over to Jinki.
"Um...do you want to sleep now?" Jinki asked, it was almost one in the morning now.
"In a bit," Kibum said, "I think we have some catching up to do." Jinki raised an eyebrow, but knew exactly what Kibum meant once the younger man was kissing him.
Kibum held on to his face gently and Jinki relaxed in to the kiss easily, he missed this. Jinki moved in closer, their lips still pressed together as he crawled on Kibum's lap. He tilted his head and parted his lips, tugging Kibum's lower lip in to his mouth.
"Just like that, baby." Kibum breathed huskily, grabbing Jinki's hips to secure him on his lap. Jinki grinded his ass against Kibum’s crotch steadily and kissed Kibum’s jaw, “Someone missed me.”
Jinki laughed lightly against Kibum's lips, "Maybe a little..." he murmurs while wrapping his arms around Kibum's neck, "But I think you did too."
Kibum wasn't even going to deny that, he flipped their positions so Jinki was laying down and he was on top.
Jinki felt his entire body warm up as Kibum's tongue slid against his, his mouth hot and wet and the way he kissed had Jinki moaning softly against his lips. Jinki wrapped a leg around Kibum's waist and ground up. Kibum pressed Jinki against the mattress and continued to kiss him slowly, Jinki whimpered but his arousal swelled. Kibum liked to take his time, to build things up, and he was enjoying seeing Jinki frustrated, the smirk against Jinki's lips telling it all.
Kibum pulled away from him completely, much to Jinki's disappointment. Jinki's eyes fluttered open to see Kibum lifting his shirt over his head. His hair got messy and he ran a hand through it before he took off his jeans, they were black and tight and clinging to his legs, not leaving much to the imagination. Jinki whined, dying for attention as he watched Kibum undress himself.
Kibum moved back over to Jinki after getting the things he needed from the nightstand drawer, "Alright, I won't tease you anymore." he said lowly and leaned down to press his lips against Jinki's neck. His hands started working on Jinki's sweatpants, tugging them down over thick thighs and pulling them off his feet. Kibum slid his hands over Jinki's bare legs, which parted at his touch.
Jinki's mind went foggy as Kibum leaned down in between his legs, planting hot wet kisses against his inner thighs, leaving a mark here and there. It wasn't long before Kibum was pulling off his underwear and tossing it to the side.
Kibum lubed up his fingers and glanced up at Jinki, who spread his legs eagerly. Kibum chuckled softly and pressed his first finger in. Jinki let out a breathless sigh, shutting his eyes. By the second finger, Jinki curled his toes against the sheets, whimpering as Kibum's fingers brushed against his prostate.
Jinki's back arched, shirt riding up as Kibum pressed in a third finger, his lips parted in a soft groan at the stretch before he was rocking back against Kibum's fingers. Kibum slid a hand up Jinki's shaking thigh and he leaned in and kissed him before pulling his fingers out slowly.
Kibum ripped open a condom packet with his teeth and pushed his hair back before sliding it on his length. He slicked lube on and crawled forward and pressed his cock against Jinki's stretched entrance.
Once Kibum pressed in, Jinki was unable to keep quiet. Jinki's thighs tightened around his waist and he moaned against Kibum's shoulders, blunt nails digging in to his bare back. Kibum's thumbs rubbed circles in to Jinki's hips, pulling out shallowly then thrusting back in.
Jinki threw his head back against his pillow and Kibum leaned down, keeping their bodies pressed together as he moved slowly but deep. Kibum's voice was low, he was murmuring something but his eyes were so dark and piercing, and the sensations all had Jinki's head spinning and body melting, he couldn't even try to understand.
Kibum's thrusts turned rough, burying inside Jinki to the hilt each time, hitting the right bundle of nerds and making the older man cry out and tug on his hair.
Kibum's big hand wrapped around him, stroking slowly and thumb pressing at the head, dripping precum. Jinki's breathing was shaky, and he was keening as Kibum continued to jerk him off while thrusting in to him.
Jinki came first, spilling in to Kibum's hand with a loud cry. He clenched around Kibum and the younger man sped up his thrusts, fluid hips driving in to Jinki faster and faster, coming not too long after with a shaky moan. The only sound in the room was their heavy breathing as they came down from their highs.
Kibum's cheek was pressed against his and Jinki's hands ran up and down his back as the younger man caught his breath. Kibum lifted his head and Jinki's eyes fluttered open and he felt butterflies in his stomach as Kibum looked down at him. Kibum was absolutely glowing and he smiled before leaning down to press their foreheads together, noses brushing lightly. "Stop staring." Kibum teased.
"You're pretty." Jinki responded and Kibum smiled and kissed him before rolling to his side. He wrapped an arm around Jinki. "We should clean up..." he murmured.
"Later," Kibum responded carelessly, bringing Jinki closer against him.
---
Jinki discovered that, “later” means that Kibum wanted another round. Then they washed up eventually and were back to cuddling in Jinki's bed. Jinki pressed his face against Kibum's chest and the younger man ran a hand through his hair, lulling him to sleep.
"You know, one of these days you should visit me."
"What." Jinki blinked up at him sleepily.
"I'm serious!" Kibum exclaimed.
Jinki weighed it out in his mind a little bit, then he glanced over at Kibum who had this child-like hopeful look on his face. "I guess it seems fun." he admits shyly. "But I can't even speak English, I won't survive out there."
"You'll be with me the entire time." Kibum points out.
Jinki pulled the blankets up over his nose to hide his blush, "And I don't even have a passport," he adds quietly.
"We can fix that." Kibum insisted. "I want to show you where I live and work...we can eat good food and go shopping, play with my dogs..." he began listing things excitedly on his fingers.
Jinki made a face. He was kind of scared to leave home already, he didn't even want to think about going to another country, and being so close to Kibum's work and home. It was so easy to forget Kibum was famous sometimes, when Jinki remembered he got a little intimidated and paranoid.
"Okay, I have to admit, it does sound like fun." Jinki said and Kibum was already cheering, then he went off about all the things that he wanted to do with Jinki. Jinki just shook his head and smiled as he listened to his boyfriend. With Kibum, nothing seemed like a challenge anymore.
---
Months later, Kibum started his tour. He was planning on going to several states in a tour bus and he asked Jinki to join along. With much debating, Jinki finally agreed. He had a bit of a hard time adjusting to the United States, but by the night of the first show he was getting along with Kibum's bandmates and fitting in well.
On the day of the first concert, Jinki came early to the venue with Kibum and was surprised to see thousands of fans already waiting outside as the car drove around the entrance to get to the back. They got out of the car and Jinki looked around excitedly.
“Come on.” Kibum urged, lending out his hand. Jinki took it and followed him up the stairs to get in the building.
Once they reached the room Jinki played with the hot pink-borderline red light sticks as Kibum got his makeup done.
Kibum sang softly as his stylist did his hair, spraying and brushing it up to perfection. He looked to see Jinki watching. “You see something you like?” Kibum teased and Jinki guessed that he must be usually like this around the staff since there wasn't much of a reaction. He quickly got comfortable and teased him.
The stylist left and it was only them in the dressing room now. Kibum looked at himself in the mirror before turning towards Jinki.
“You'll do great tonight,” Jinki said with a soft smile, waving his hand-made banner. Kibum snorted, but his heart flipped since Jinki was being so adorable.
“Come here old man,” Kibum urged with a finger and Jinki set down his banner and complied, he walked over slowly, maintaining eye contact. Kibum walked forward as well and wrapped his arms loosely around Jinki's waist, pulling him in until their bodies touched. “I need some energy before I start the show.” he murmured and Jinki raised an eyebrow.
“Oh, do you now?” Jinki bit his lower lip to try to hide his smile.
“Yeah, do you mind giving me some?” Kibum leaned in until their noses brushed and Jinki was the one who finally closed the gap between them, pecking him softly and he held on to the younger man's face when Kibum pressed in harder. Kibum backed him up against the dresser and Jinki hooked his arms around Kibum's neck, parting his lips and sighing softly against Kibum's wet lips.
“Key! We need you out here!” A crew member said from outside, which had the couple part immediately.
“Coming! Give me a second!” Kibum shouted back and pulled Jinki up, “Can you go find your seat okay?”
“I'll manage,” Jinki smiled and hugged his boyfriend. “I'm really excited to see you out there.”
“Prepare to be amazed,” Kibum checked how he looked one last time before kissing Jinki's forehead and he rubbed his head, “I'll see you later.” he murmured. Jinki hummed and waved as he watched the younger man rush out.
Jinki collected his stuff before stepping out of the room. Luckily, one of Kibum's body guards escorted him to his seat which was smack dab in the middle-front section, which gave him a good view of the stage.
Jinki barely had time to sit down before the lights dimmed and the building seemed as it was shaking when all the fans started screaming loudly together. Jinki screamed too, mostly out of confusion. Loud music started blaring and dancers appeared from the sides of the intricate stage. They were wearing flashy outfits and started dancing to the beat that everyone started clapping and screaming to.
A platform in the middle of the stage started rising, and the dancers surrounded it, keeping up with the beat as a dark figure rose up, back turned towards the audience.
And then there was Key, and he was shining.
