JongKey ABC [A - L]
Abstract - There’s just something about Kibum that is so addictive and alluring that one cannot help but be drawn to him. Sure the guy can be such a demanding bitch or a push-over diva at times, but that can never be reason enough for one to hate him. In fact, it is like this strange charm that draws more people to him-and Jonghyun is actually the most fascinated person there is with the Almighty Key. For Jonghyun, Kim Kibum is like this abstract artwork wherein, you get something new every time you look and try to analyze it.
Blanket - Being an only child, Kibum didn’t grasp much the concept of sharing when he was young. What’s his is his, and that is that. Although living with four other boys helped him get better at it, there are still times when he bites his members’ heads off whenever they touch his ‘strictly-for-Kim-Kibum-only-no-matter-what’ stuff. And so, the other three got quite shocked when one night that Jonghyun was suffering from chills, Kibum readily offered his fluffy and warm pink blanket that they’re sure to be a ‘strictly-for-Kim-Kibum-only-no-matter-what’ blanket.
Combination - Jonghyun used to find couples who combine their names corny. He used to loathe the fact that his name was actually a combination of his own parents’ name. But that was all before a certain beautiful, witty, ‘PMS expert’ that goes by the name of Kim Kibum came into his life. Then, thanks to the fans and the need for further promotions and appeal, voila! JongKey was born! Jongkey-the most perfect and definitely the ultimate couple name combination Jonghyun’s ears had and will ever hear.
Dominant - When he was young, people used to describe Kibum as one having a dominant personality. When SHINee debuted and became as shiny as the brightest star in the sky, he became regarded as a diva. But no matter how people see or describe him, the bottomline is that no one can ever resist him. He always gets whatever the hell he wants- their short but undoubtedly hot lead singer, Kim Jonghyun, being no exception. After all, he’s the ‘Almighty Key’, so converting someone who claims he is straighter than a metal ruler especially gay for him is a possible impossibility.
Euphoria - When Kibum finally had Kim Jonghyun all wrapped around his finger-when he’s already succeeded in making himself a necessity that Jonghyun needs in order to continue living a happy life, Kibum decided it was the right time to confess. There is only 45% danger that the idiot would reject him, and if by some insane chance the idiot does, Kibum is 90% sure their friendship will still prevail. He has carefully calculated and considered everything so he was quite confident. But what Kibum didn’t foresee was Kim Jonghyun coming up to him first, all flustered and stuttering while confessing that he is in love with Key. At that moment, Kibum felt nothing but pure euphoria.
Fan service - After a certain show guesting, they had been told by their managers to ‘ease on the JongKey fan service’ since fan girls and boys are becoming obviously wilder and scarier. When their managers left, Onew and Taemin burst in laughter, while Minho shook his head and with an amused grin on his face said, “If they only knew.”
Gorgeous - Nothing makes Kim Kibum’s mornings more perfect than being awoken by his fresh-from-the-shower boyfriend, beaming up at him and saying “Good morning, gorgeous.”.
Home - After such a long time, the boys were finally given a week off to spend time with their families. All of them were so happy and excited to go to their own homes. But after a day, Jonghyun, weird as it was, felt homesick. On the third day, he realized what’s wrong with him and bid his family good bye to go to Kibum’s hometown. A very surprised Kibum asked what the hell his idiot dinosaur was doing in his house when he should be at his own home, and Jonghyun hugged him like there’s no more tomorrow as he answered Kibum with a: “home is wherever the heart is.”
Idol - As music had and will always be one of Jonghyun’s passions, he never fails to give his 101% in the music + dance trainings and rehearsals no matter how gruesome it gets. And with his and all the other four members’ perseverance and hard work, SHINee immediately became one of the greatest boy groups that still has no other way to go but up, up, up. Though Jonghyun certainly is living his dream, he somehow can’t help but wonder at times how his life would’ve been had he not been fortunate enough make it as an idol- would he still meet the ‘Almighty Key’ that makes his world go round? Then one night, as he watched Kibum sleep, Jonghyun was reminded that he’s got one heck of a special boyfriend. And all his worries got erased as it hit him that no matter what, even if there were a million people around them, he’ll surely somehow cross paths with Kim Kibum. The Almighty Key is just far too great for Kim Jonghyun to miss.
Journey - People say that the journey- if not more- is as important as one’s destination. As for Kibum, it’s who he is with that is more important. Because really, what’s the use of reaching your end goal when you’re all alone? So Kibum can care less whatever great path he is treading or wherever he is really headed. His main and utmost priority is to be with Jonghyun wherever, whenever... and through it all.
Kangaroo - Kibum has tendencies to dote on their other three members like a mother hen, but to Jonghyun, he’s different. To Jonghyun, Kibum is like a mama kangaroo, wanting and needing Jonghyun close to him at all times possible that if he indeed can have a built-in pouch, Jonghyun would most definitely be kept there 24/7. Not to mention that Kibum can also pack a mean punch at the ego and self-esteem of girls and some guys trying to get his Jonghyun for their selves.
Leech - Kibum hates insects because they’re very icky and gives him goose bumps. He can’t stand them and always need someone to ‘protect’ him from it. But now the tables have turned and a certain insect in his eyes-a leech to be exact-is now the one that needs protecting from him. Though Jonghyun always assures him that he doesn’t like Jessica and will never ever cheat on him, Kibum can’t help but feel jealous whenever she hangs around Jonghyun too much. So you can’t really blame him for calling her ugly and boring, hence making Jessica feel hurt and embarrassed. But at least now, the girl never approaches Jonghyun unless extremely necessary.
