dragon*con '09 - sho' was good!
What can I say? D*C was off the hook this year. We met a lot of really cool people, and had an overall great time. We scrambled around Thursday night before we left and even though we worked hard on all of our costumes, we only ended up finishing one set. We left at 4am Friday morning, and spent most of the day waiting in the registration line with Dee, Steve, Andre, Jose, and Erin. We seriously waited in that line for about 3 1/2 hours. Not to mention it was probably 120 degrees in there. And with a few thousand people standing in line, let's just say that next year we are definately going to pre-reg. You'd have thought we would have learned last year. Oh, and a hot milf pulled her boob out while we were waiting. o_o At first I was like "nice" but then I realized it was for the baby and I was like "ew"...
We basically went to the room and chilled for the rest of the night. On Saturday Di and I put on normal civilian clothes to go out, which felt very un-natural, since we NEVER do that. We looked at all the dealers rooms (where we finally snagged some autobot car decals!), and then went to a little mexican restaurant where we proceeded to get our drink on. The contest was at 7pm so by the time we got back to the room we had to start getting ready. It took a little bit longer then we thought it would and ended up barely showing up on time for it. It was the most awesome contest I have ever been in. They treated everyone like royalty, and took all sorts of really nice professional pictures. We didn't win anything, but just knowing we were considered for Dramatica was an honour. We hit the afterparty at about midnight and stayed until they literally kicked us out. We were all a bit tipsy at this point so we raved until about four in the morning. It was great to have fun with everyone like that.
Sunday night we were invited to sit down and eat with some BIG name Marvel dudes/comic artists. They were awesome to talk with. I even got to shmooze with the guy who did that Deadpool cover I love so much. Sunday was gone in a flash and we had to go home, but we didn't leave until about 10pm. Had a blast, can't wait to do it again in a couple weeks.

Brandon - You make a lovely Bleisha, man. xD You owe us another game of pool.
"Buzz" Steve - I don't know exactly how drunk you were but you said "I just have to tell you, this girl had huge boobs and big brown eyes... I just, I just gotta tell you she had huge tits." ... Gin Steve is awesome. And we're so going to that wrestling thing next year.
Andre - No more hotels with balconies for you.
Dee - Had so much fun rewinding life with you! I'll try to refrain from those roundhouse kicks. Thanks for letting me take pictures of you again babe, your Marvel Girl was the best ever.
Jason Pearson - Dude, get an Xbox. Left 4 Dead is the shit. And Bucho was adorable. See you at Hero's Con (with that picture you're gonna draw me!)
